Q:Are this dimmer switches work with the Hubspace app
by|Dec 13, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello. This dimmer is not part of our smart line of dimmers and will not work with Hubspace. Even with our smart line of dimmers, they are also not compatible with Hubspace either. We use RF and our own smart hub to control our Caseta line which can then integrate with Alexa, Google, or Homekit. If you want more info about Caseta, please visit Casetawireless.com for more information.

Q:Can a Lutron Maestro LED+ Dimmer Switch for Dimmable LED, Incandescent Bulbs, Single-Pole or Multi-Location
be used with an
EcoSmart 150-Watt Equivalent BR40 CEC Dimmable LED Light Bulb with Selectable Color Temperature Plus DuoBright

Answer This Question
A: Hello, thank you for your question! Currently, there's no industry standard or regulation for manufacturing LEDs, which is why performance varies with dimming controls. That's why we extensively test a variety of LEDs from many different manufacturers and offer a mobile-friendly web tool to help you select bulbs that provide the best dimming performance with your Lutron dimmers. To access the tool, please visit lutron.com/ledfinder. An exact LED model number is required for determining case-by-case testing results.
We hope this helps! If you have additional questions, please reach out to our 24/7 Support Team at support@lutron.com or give us a call at 1-844-LUTRON1.

Q:Can this be used to control a ceiling fan?
by|Nov 26, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello, thank you for your question. The Maestro LED+ Dimmer model MACL-153M is only rated for controlling lighting and cannot be used to control a ceiling fan. If you would like to control fan and lighting from the same unit, we recommend model MACL-LFQ, and if you are looking to control fan only, we recommend a similar fan-only model such as the Diva model DVFSQ-F:

Q:Does it work with universal remote and lutron maestro remote?
by|Aug 28, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello, thank you for your question. The Maestro LED+ dimmer switch is not capable of interfacing with a universal remote, and it does not have RF capability to communicate with a Lutron Pico remote. We can, however, recommend a Lutron Caseta dimmer and Pico remote that will have similar specifications to the Maestro model and is remote-controllable via Lutron Clear Connect RF devices:

A: The MACL-153MH-xx can be used in a 3 way application with an existing toggle switch or the companion dimmer (MA-R-xx). However, for 4-way applications (3 or more locations) the companion dimmers must be used at all locations.

Q:Will this fit in a 3 switch gang box? I am replacing one toggle switch out of the three with this dimmer switch and would like to reuse the current wall plate.

Answer This Question
A: My switch is in a 2 switch gang box and it fit but was tight. Yours only problem may be if your box it a junction for other circuits too. you can reuse the plate as long as the switch you are replacing is the same style as the dimmer.

A: Thank you for your question, Alex. The MACL-153M will fit a standard Designer/Decora wallplate opening, but will not fit a smaller toggle switch wallplate opening. The opening dimensions required are 1.317" wide x 2.637" high, or 33.4518mm wide x 66.9798mm high. You may use any wallplate with these dimensions. Please see the below specification sheet for more information:

A: I think it will. I put it in a standard two switch box in the bathroom and it was tight but fit. I have another switch in the box that also takes a lot of space.
