Answer This Question
A: This product could be used for that application; however, the holes in the sheet are large enough that pests could get through them. 3' x 3' is the largest size this sheet comes in.

Q:I'm planning on using it as inset panels in a door between rooms with a fresh air exchange. Will the metal bend when cut? Or is there a way (using what tools?) to get a clean cut to size out of it?

Answer This Question
A: Since it is thin aluminum, you could run it through a table saw with a cross cut blade. If you don't have that, then tin shears or tin snips will cut it as well, however, I never find it easy to cut a clean line with tin shears. Its best if you can put a trim/frame around it.

A: Tin snips will cut these panels, easily. Make sure to use a straight edge and pencil to mark your cutting area first. You will likely have 2 finished sides and 2 cut sides. (yellow handled, tin-snips)

A: This sheet can be cut with Tin Snips or Hobby Shears and can be filed with a emery board (fingernail file) to remove any rough edges. Thank you for your interest in our product. M-D Building Products
