A:  The Makita 14 Amp 20 lb. SDS-MAX Demolition Hammer is not engineered for drilling applications as it does not contain a “Rotary” or “Spinning” function necessary for the bits to drill holes in the material being worked on. We recommend our 15-Amp 2 in. Advanced AVT Rotary Hammer (HR5212C) for drilling applications.
