A:  I have only taken one back but I didn't have any problems with getting it replaced.

A:  Yep, Looks like the belt clip has a bottle opener cut into it. Just tried it, even if that wasnt the intent, it works.

A:  Tape measures are intentionally designed with play in the end clip to account for inside versus outside measurements. The play should be exactly the thickness of the clip.

A:  All tape measures have a little play in them but some are worse than others. When you make your mark or line try cutting right on the line the blade of saw will make up the difference. Also always remember to keep it in mind that you have the extra play on the tape.

A:  Just one of many problems with this tape measure... I dumped it for a Kline Tools seen here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Klein-Tools-25-ft-Tape-Measure-with-Magnetic-Double-Hook-9225R/311133921 A little pricey, but hasn't failed me in heavy use.

A:  It happened to me as well until I realized what was happening. Wasted some material but other than pretty solid tape measure

A:  I thought so too. However the play is intentional. Think about it this way. When you pull on the tab, you measure from the end of the board. If you push on the tab, than you measure from the side of the wall. It's to make sure it's accurate whether you measure outside length or inside length.

A:  Agreed. The play is too much. No way the end clip is that thick. Just account for it.

A:  I bought mine I had a old Milwaukee I had for years so I bought this new one for only 10 bucks I’m a happy camper.

A:  No I bought like a week ago and it is not what I expected the auto lock don’t lock no more it just goes back it and I only used for putting moldings not good expected better for the brand.

A:  i got mine becuz of the auto lock maybe you did not press the lock hard enough

A:  Was sent the wrong one and didnt have time to return it before I scuffed it up. I order the 12ft reach but got the 9 instead:(

A:  It would not retract after 10 ft that makes a man very angry threw it in the trash where it is supposed to be not a good product at all

A:  If you used your credit car, you can go in to customer service inside Home Depot and let them swipe your card. Then they can reprint the receipt for you. If that doesnt work, call Milwaukee direct at 1-800-SAWDUST. they should be able to help you out.

A:  It is case hardened carbon steel. Very durable.

A:  There is no mention of the grade. Only ‘stainless’ what I can tell you is that I’ve had mine for three months or so and routinely use it to cut up in boxes and haven’t thought about sharpening it yet. The blade is also coded with an anti-stick material which helps greatly. For $15 it’s a pretty good deal.

A:  Around 19 degrees. I only use a steel knife rod sharpener on mine.
