          Q:Can the side burner be installed on the left side of the grill? All the pictures show the side burner on the right.

          A:  No. All the wiring and gas line resides on the right.

            A:  No, the knob would be on the backside, the gas lines would need to be changed and the wiring lengthened.

              A:  on model 17842 there is not a sear burner, that is on model 24367.

                A:  This model does not have a separate searing station. We do offer model 24367 which is a similarly featured grill with a side searing burner on the left shelf along with the side burner on the right self. Unfortunately, we are unable to package the rotisserie with this model for safety reasons. Our rotisserie will mount and work, but access to either of the side burners is restricted while in use. You can purchase our rotisserie from Monumentgrills.com. We are currently out of stock on the grill, but will have this available by the middle of June.

                  Q:Looking at assembly instructions, I do not see the usual 1 piece heat-retaining firebox of steel or cast aluminum. Is this correct and if I'm wrong what material does the firebox use?

                  A:  The top piece is all stainless steel, there is no fire box. Heat rises so the lid being down would hold heat in, with the lid up the heat from the burners would be used for searing.

                    A:  No, you cannot connect it to a propane line, you have to use a propane tank.

                      A:  80F outside and breezy, took mine 5 minutes during very first light to reach 500F.

                          A:  There is a push button on the top right side. Mine didn’t work so I installed a toggle switch mounted under the hood next to the door.
