A:  The distance between the floor and the bottom of the first shelf on our Theo 5-Shelf Bookcase (65507/Oak) is approximately 24.3cm/9.57in. Hope this helps!

A:  It’s slightly over 9 1/2” from the floor to the bottom of the lowest shelf.

A:  the space between the floor and the underneath of the bottom shelf is 9 and 3/4 inches.

A:  Much of the weight of our Theo 5-Shelf Bookcase (65501/Dark Walnut) is supported by the bookcase legs. This bookcase can be secured to your wall using the included drywall anchors.

A:  I used an anchor and it secure and stable. But it is heavy, so definitely need a stud or anchor to secure.

A:  You're supposed to be able to, but we really noticed a difference in stability when we screwed it to a stud.

A:  For the Theo 5-Shelf Bookcase (65505, Black), the shelves are a made of MDF (medium-density fiberboard). The bookcases will be in fresh from the factory mid-December.

A:  For the Theo 73" 5-Shelf Ladder Bookcase, the top frame is pre-assembled and cannot be attached lower.

A:  9.5 inches off the ground and 6 inches away from the wall

A:  The legs on our Theo Ladder Bookcase (65503-Walnut Brown/Black) sit 6 inches away from the wall. Additionally, the distance from the bottom shelf to the floor is 9.4 inches. In this, there might not be enough room to safely place this unit over a baseboard heater.

A:  The space in between shelves on our Theo Ladder Bookcase (65506-White) is 11.6 inches. Unfortunately, 12-inch records won't fit.

A:  The white shelves on our Theo Ladder Bookcase (65506-White) have a matte white finish.

A:  The distance from the floor to the bottom of the first shelf on our Theo Ladder Bookcase (65502-Natural Brown/White) is 9.4 inches.

A:  The oak-laminated shelves on our Theo 5-Shelf Bookcase (65503-Walnut Brown/Black) are made from reclaimed wood and were then outlined with black paint. This helps to match the shelves to the black metal brackets.
