Q:If you are doing an outside mount, do you need to add or subtract anything from the measurement or will the width be the exact meaurement given?

1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Thank you for reaching out. The width ordered will be the width that is delivered. For an outside mount we always recommend adding 6" to the width measured to ensure the window opening is covered as much as possible. Ultimately it would come down to personal preferance.

Q:My width of interior mount is 34 3/8 and length is 58 3/8 what size should I order ?

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for reaching out. If you're going for an inside mount then a 34" width x 64" length would be the option we recommend. We always recommend going 1/2" shorter in the width to allow the shade to operate properly. The 64" length because unforunately we do not offer custom lengh's and only have lengths of 48", 64", 72", 84" available and they cannot be made shorter or longer than that. Please feel free to reach out with additonal questions at customerservices@allstrongusa.com.

Q:We want to use these for French doors. Would we need to use bottom mounts while they?re closed
by|Mar 19, 2023

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for reaching out. In this case if you do not want the shade to sway or move when opening or closing the doors we recommend using bottom mounts. If the door is staying closed then there is no need for bottom mount to secure. Ultimately it will come down to preferance on how you view the shade on the doors.

Q:I am looking at an interior mount option for a 28 1/4" opening and 82" length. Your interior mount instructions state to deduct 1/2" from the width. Should I go with the 28" x84" option? I feel the 27 1/2 inch width would be too narrow.
