For self watering pots you will need to use one of our fabrics with natural fibers so that the water can be absorbed into the fabric thus watering the roots of your plant. A:  Not sure about the 65 gallon one, but I bought the 45 gallon, snd 2 cubic feet would not fill it up. It became very heavy and difficult to move. I use the 15 gallon for one tomato plant and that size is plenty large enough for one plant.

A:  Go by quarts on the potting soil bag A 25 gallon pot will take 100 quarts of soil. 4 quarts to a gallon x 25 gallons = 100 quarts. The bags I have seen at HD are 25 quarts per bag so filing up a 25 gallon pot will require 4 bags of 25 quart soil.
