A:  I recently bought this paint to paint a cigar box bluetooth speaker face. This general purpose paint is a latex paint. It covers exceptionally well with a very little paint and dries extremely fast. It was perfect for my project and I'll continue to purchase this for that purpose. I have not tried to paint on a door handle or lock, however, because it is a latex paint I don't believe it would be suitable for painting a door handle or lock, nor would any latex paint be suitable for this application. There is too much surface wear.

A:  Once fully cured all Rust-Oleum products, including Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover Paint, are considered non-toxic. This being said it is safe to use this product on children’s art projects.
