A:  I had the same problem. I sent my opinion via their survey questionnaire and have yet to receive a response. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GLOW IN THE DARK PAINT! It simply does not work. I followed the directions perfectly. Even went back to the store because it said I needed to put a flat white coat on first and a clear sealing coat after! NOTHING! I had already pitched the cans of spray paint or I would have requested a refund! My small project turned into an expensive task. This Glow in the Dark paint simply does not do what it says it will do! I give it a 0 out of 1-10.

A:  It doesn't work. Not good paint. I've tried on a variety of products and it does not glow.

A:  For best results with Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Spray Paint, the product needs to dry completely and charge under direct light for 2-3 hours for maximum glow. The painted object can be charged in natural or artificial light. The closer, more direct, and more consistent the strength of the light is, the better the object will glow. Any shadows, blockage of light, or inconsistency of light during charging (i.e. gradual sunset) will affect the objects ability to glow. The object can glow up to 8 hours under ideal conditions. Please note that the glow will continue to fade over time and will not be as strong as it was immediately after charging. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

A:  Happy to clear things up, Lynn. The reason that the Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Spray is priced lower is because the Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Max Spray is formulated to have a stronger and brighter glow. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5

A:  Thank you for reaching out. We wouldn't recommend Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Spray on your car. It is meant for decorative use only. It wouldn't hold up to the road salts and washing that a car receives. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6

A:  Great question, Cam! After being exposed to direct natural or artificial light, surfaces painted with Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Spray will glow for 4-8 hours. Please keep in mind that we do recommend applying 2 coats, make sure to apply them within one hour or after 24 hours. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 3

A:  We appreciated your interest, Becky! Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Spray can be applied to wood, metal, drywall, and plastic. We don't recommend applying it to fabric because the flexibility of the surface will cause the coating to crack and peel off. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5

A:  Carito, our Glow In The Dark Spray is recommended for surfaces such as metal, wood, drywall, and plastic. We have not tested this product on yarn, so we recommend applying to a test piece first to ensure compatibility. This product glows best when applied to light or white colored surfaces, and must charge in a light source before it will glow.
