Q:How much weight can this hold? Will the cube storage bins fit in it? Will a 50 inch tv fit on top?

Answer This Question
A: I have a 48" tv on top of mine. It fits fine. It is a good height for a television in a larger room (think mantle height). The only downside is the lip along the back of the top shelf requires me to run the power cord over the top of it and then down the back to the wall plug.
I am not sure about storage cubes. It would depend on size. You should look at the dimensions.

A: I really like this for storing my craft books and supplies..it's attractive and looks much nicer than most DIY book shelves for sure.....but not sure I would want my smarth TV on top! Could work but I'd prefer something a little deeper and a bit lower in height. Bins I had fit perfectly and look nice...if you are buying bins be sure thet are not more than 12x12 and not over 13" high to fit well.

Q:Is the back of this bookcase finished or raw uncolored wood ?
by|Oct 25, 2020

Answer This Question
A: The back panel is reverseable. One side is a solid grayish color and the other side has the wood pattern on it. You don’t see raw wood on the back but you do see the panel that you nail to it with the finishing nails.

A: The back of the SAUDER 47.5 in. White Plank Faux Wood 11-shelf Standard Bookcase with Cubes is unfinished.

A: Hope you read my entire review (Ladygolfer93) NO, I was TOLD the back WAS printed on both sides, ordered, and it is NOT.
Thought I would have to change my plans for the location of this piece (a location where 6-7" of the back would show and I wanted it to look like the rest of the finish. Turns out that did not matter anyway, as the instructions for this piece specify it must be attached to a wall in one of the final steps. Skipping this step will leave you with a VERY unstable piece and purchasing some brace material like furring strips really can't be added in an "X" on the back because they would show. I planned this for books, I now think it will be sagging and bending if I store heavy books. More thinking needed, I have a few ideas, I'll find a way to use this.
