Answer This Question

A:  No grout required, just peel and stick. Make sure to start at one end and move left to right. Use a chalk line or magic marker dash marks to keep them level or you will end up high or low at one end. I have not tested how durable or resistant they are to steam, but they sure stick good...

A:  Hmmm, I wouldn't do that. I stuck over existing tile which is very smooth. They are very sticky however, and just might work in such a situation.

            Answer This Question

A:  You may apply Tic Tac Tiles to smooth, untextured and undamaged wallpaper without a problem. Some sanding may be necessary and you may need to repair some imperfections on the previous wallpaper. Make sure to clean the surface properly with a degreaser such as TSP before installing. Thank you.

Also, Tic Tac Tiles are easy to cut with a box cutter and a ruler or you can simply use a scissor to cut the tiles. Thank you.

A:  How do you remove the tiles.

                by|Jan 7, 2019

A:  Hi Gerber, Tic Tac Tiles are design to have uneven edges to give our customer flexibility to install the tiles from either side. Depending on where you want to install first Tic Tac Tiles, you have to cut one side straight by cutting excess pieces and use other side for interlocking. For example, if you want to start from the left corner, you should cut the left tile straight to begin. Also, you can use thin wood or stainless moldings or the silicone caulk to finish the edges of Tic Tac Tiles. Thank you.

Q:I want to purchase this tile to go on my kitchen panel as a backsplash can I do this? If not what can I do to make the paneling compatible with the tile?

                      Answer This Question

A:  If you try to place over paneling, make sure it is smooth... the lines in paneling, "grout" looking lines if you will, will not affect these stick on tiles. They will not sink into the gaps. No grout needed for the peel and stick tiles, mark a level line, start on one end, and stick away! Trim with exacto knife or scissors, they are very sticky, so don't let them stick to themselves(front to back).

A:  Tic Tac Tiles are great for kitchen backsplash. Also, Tic Tac Tiles are resistant to the heat of a stove. However, if you want to install it as back panel of a stove, you must leave a space of 8~10 inches above the surface of the stove to prevent direct contact to an open flame.
