A: We use ours indoors and vacuum it to keep it clean, but we have a similar one (not the same brand) outdoors and have never had a mildew problem even when it gets wet. You should be fine.

A: I can't really help as I have Two (2) and both are under a covered area (front porch & rear balcony). In addition, I live in Las Vegas and we don't have any rain.

A: My experience here in Alaska, that these mats are not mildew pron. I can see in warmer climates,
may have to clean once in awhile with Clorox to kill any bacteria under the mat. Be sure not to
spill any Clorox on the mat since it may discolor it.

A: If your patio is not covered and the mat gets rain on there is a chance that mildew can form.
To prevent mildew from occurring, move your mat to a location that it will dry and allow your concrete to dry out before putting your mat back in place.
Mildew stains can be removed with a pressure washer if necessary.

Answer This Question
A: It’s a good mat, not sure about for mud though. Would depend on the amount of mud your trying to get off. Best for I would say more normal type use, nothing involving large amounts etc.

A: I would think if it wasn't fresh tar and didn't stick to your shoes in any way, say, in the treads of your shoes or boots, then it should grab the tar fairly well.
