Q:Can you take the freezer drawers out? I need to store stuff flat in the freezer, and it is too tall to fit in the drawer.

Answer This Question
A: The freezers are able to be removed on our Retro Fridge, however there are shelves that the freezer drawers sit on which cannot be removed. We do not recommend putting food directly on top of the shelf as any frozen to those can damage the freezer coils which keep the freezer cold.

A: I measure 21.5" wide from front edge left to front edge right.
I measure 22.5" deep from back edge center to front door edge center.
I measure 19.5" deep from back edge center to front edge center without the door.
Check the installation manual for the manufacturers current back, top, and left/right clearance recommendations. Mine is set in a room corner with 3" clearance on the left and 2" clearance at the back. The top is open to the ceiling. I have no problems with cooling or compressor run time.
Don't forget that the doors are not reversable. The doors are post hinged on the right but you will need a minimum 1" clearance on the right side if the door is flush with the fridge opening.

Answer This Question
A: No, the handles on our Unique Retro Refrigerator are made of cast zinc and are heavy duty-steel.

A: The handles on the fridge I received are metal. Chrome plated. They are thick and well made. They are firmly attached to the door. There is no flex or give when you pull on them with reasonable force (more than needed to open the door but not enough to damage the door).
I am very happy with the materials used on my fridge and expect it will last for decades.
The manufacturer can change materials at any time so be sure to check with Unique before you buy if non-metal handles are a deal breaker.

Answer This Question
A: This appliance is intended for household use only. It is not designed for outside installation, including anywhere that is not temperature controlled (garages, porches, vehicles, etc.). If the room/ambient temperature approaches the fridge’s operating temperature, the fridge may not function correctly. If the room/ambient temperature exceeds 100˚F (38˚C) the fridge may not function correctly.
