Q:These are really great. We have ours on our wall for almost 4 years. I was wondering the process.to paint these? We are looking to change our color scheme in our house but don't want to take these down. Could we pain them and have the color last?

Answer This Question
A: This is a great idea to change the entire feel of a room. I do believe that you can change the color of this wood. If you go darker, you may not need to sand or prepare the wood in any way but if you want to go lighter, I would give it a light sand first. Unfortunately, this is a very messy thing to do indoors and could be detrimental to someone with lung issues. Both recommendations above are if you plan on re-staining the planks. If you’d like to simply paint over with an interior paint, go to town! No preparation needed except the typical taping of the edges. Best of luck with your project, I’d love to see how it turns out if you want to tag me in a social media post. @intentionallycrafted always glad to see before after photos.

A: You can paint the wall boards. You want to use a stain blocking primer prior to your final color.

Q:What do you do around outlets that you need to put the cover back on?
by|Feb 28, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Will, you have an option when working around outlets. You may leave the outlet where it is, and it will be recessed. Or you can pull the outlet box out from the original wall and have the cover overlap the wall boards about 1/2". Then the outlet is flush with the wall boards. How you treat the outlets is your personal preference.
