A:  Silicone seals the drain to the tub and the elbows to the tub. PTFE does not come with the kits.

A:  the trim kit shown fits both Sch 40 and Brass tubing. The threads are the same 1-7/8"-11.5 or 1-5/8"-16

A:  The length of the adapter is 1-3/8 in. However, they do not have to be snug against each other so some room does exist.

A:  Yes, this can be installed after the tub has been installed. it is a universal kit made for fine and coarse thread elbows.

A:  Yes we just installed ours, the tip top pop up drain attaches to the drain under the tub after the tub is installed, and only takes about 10 min to put in. It looks great and works awesome.

A:  Yes for sure. They make a tool to screw it out. But you can also flip a pair of pliers and use the handed to turn it out.

A:  You can unscrew the cap from the mechanism and then unscrew the mechanism from the drain. There is no "hair catcher" on this unit.
