    Q:The issue with this door closer with the door stop device on its side, is that if you do not have enough depth between storm door & front door cavity the side mounted door stop device does not allow the front door to close. The original device was top mounted & my wife purchased this model without technical advice and I mounted the new unit and did not realize of the room required until I went to close front door... Is there an adapter than can be added to this unit to allow the stop to rotate to top of unit ?

    A:  I've had no problem... "side mounted"? I don't understand. The push button on the ones I've had is on top of the device. There was/is only one way to attach this to the storm door..bottom , inside, facing the regular door. the button is then on the top of the device. I think you need to take a picture to Home Depot to help the man tell you what/ how... Like I said, there's been no problem with mine... (I did have to buy this one to replace the one that came with the storm door: too many times of "stomping" the button down before everyone learned to just open the door wider to release it and let the door close. haha

        A:  I had the same problem and just reversed the bracket that mounts to the threshold. Where the bracket points to the storm door, point it to the front door to give more clearance.

                A:  Mine only stays open when the button is pressed, so I would check with the manufacturer. Seems you may have a defective closer.

                  A:  No, it pulls the door close. You lock the door open with button on closure and then you push it slightly open and it reieases and closes the door.

                      Q:I installed a new tap n go but is not opening 90 degrees how can I fix it?

                      A:  For a full 90 degree opening position the open side of the jamb bracket ¼” from door. If mounted further away from door it will not open to 90 degrees. If that is correct and you are still not getting an opening of 90 degrees, try flipping the jamb bracket so open side faces away from your storm door.
