I wish I would have gotten a different one. It does the job in stacking but vibrates a lot more and more noisy than when not stacked, especially if there’s a heavier load like towels or bedding. There’s no pad or anything between the metal and the washer/dryer so it gets a little loud with the vibration. I’d also never order from Home Depot again as my kit didn’t get installed until 12 days after my original delivery date as it was not put on the truck with the washer and dryer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this kit to stack my new LG washer and Dryer. However I do not trust the kit because gas dryer could come loose with the vibration and shaking that can happen with an unbalanced washer load. Only the back part screws in and front is just adhesive—front should have some screws into washer. I added a cargo strap around the whole unit to hold them together. I feel this unit also needs anti-tip straps included as well. This would be a must in earthquake zone.

Very easy to put this togther. Simple design; seems very sturdy. Only had 5 days, but no complaints after catching up on loads and loads of laundry.

I renovated my laundry room in order to stack the washer and dryer. The new LG dryer was installed and after the installer left, I noticed a loud rattling noise coming from inside the bottom of the machine. LG will not service the unit if it is stacked, so I have to coordinate with Home Depot, who sets up separate un-stacking and re-stacking appointments. Three appointments for one problem on a brand new machine. I really regret buying LG.

Very easy to install kit for putting an LG dryer on top of an LG washing machine. We recently picked up a new LG washer and dryer in the Thanksgiving sales and since we have a laundry closet, we needed a kit to stack them. This LG stacking kit is very easy to install and allowed us to get the dryer and washer into a closet with a 79" high doorway. There are a couple of bits of advice for making the job as easy as possible: 1) The plastic feet on the dryer have a hexagonal shape and you need to make sure that the 'flat' of the hexagon is aligned with the rear and front retainers of the stacking kit otherwise the dryer won't seat all the way back and the front retaining bar screw holes won't align properly. Make sure they dryer feet are aligned before you life the dryer onto the washer - see the close up picture in this review. 2) It pays to 'test fit' the front retaining bar before you attempt to lift the dryer in place as the screw holes are a little small and this means you have to drive the screws in carefully with quite a lot of pressure to avoid stripping the heads. Test fitting it and then disassembling the retaining bar meant the screws went into place much more easily when the dryer was lifted into place.

The washer dryer stacking kit works great for us. We have a small house with little storage so space is important. Stacking our units frees up space for other items.

The washer and dryer were joined as one! The don't rock and they don't roll. No shakes and no rattles.

The kit is very simple an quick to set-up. The stacked units look great. A great way to save space.

Works as described. Definitely, a two to three man job. Downside for me was the screw holes on the brackets where smaller than the screws that where provided. Thankfully I had same screws just a hair smaller that fit properly. :-) Only color choice was chrome, which was ok for my application. I have been using bracket kit for a couple weeks now and no problems.

Arrived as promised, easy to install and worked quite well, has made more room in my utility room for storage cabinets, happy customer.

Home Depot trying to charge me a $29 appliance fee for a $39 part

I received the order. Four screws in box. The rack was ordered over two weeks ago and I did not receive a replacement

Stackable kits arrived fast but the package is broken and parts came out and now missing

We bought this kit and can’t even use it because screws don’t come in the kit. Very disappointing. They don’t even tell you what kind of screws to get.

Despite my comparing overall dimensions of the LG units w the one I was replacing, the LG units did not fit in my laundry closet. When I asked HD if I could get some credit toward a unit that would fit, I was advised that mine was a case of "buyer's remorse" and that no returns are would be considered. I purchased a unit that did fit from another vendor and have to sell the units purchased from Home Depot privately. I will not likely use HD again unless no other option exists.

Bought this to stack my clothes wash and dry machines. Fits as advertised. Went with the brand name (as opposed to generic for cheaper). Figured quality mattered with stacked machines. The braces are basic molded steel. Only two screws hold it in place with double sided tape pads holding down the front end. Works good enough, but if push came to shove, just about anything will compare well to these.

Ordered washer/dryer pair and stacking bracket direct from LG. Price was same as 'big box' stores, plus no additional charge for delivery, setup, and haul away which was great. However, stacking bracket delivered separately, and delivery/setup contractor would not install due to bracket not being included on their truck (company policy). Delivery contractors were quite friendly, and did leave the necessary hose connections, but it would have been ideal if I did not have to install everything myself. Overall, the bracket installation was relatively painless. Solid steel versus plastic offerings from other mfgs. The stacked dryer unit sits tight on top of the washer, with no alarming amount of vibration occurring during the washer's final spin. I'd definitely recommend this item if planning for a stacked W/D setup.
