Bought this brand because it was clear. Extremely difficult separating the top film from the tape. When you finally do, its like GUM. Doesn't stick to anything. I would return it if I hadn't disposed of the backing. Useless and EXPENSIVE. Do not recommend.

The photo on homedepot.ca is for an outdoor tape with a 15lb rating, the actual product is an indoor tape with a 10lb rating.

These are pvc squares I used the double sided tape to apply the squares to wood to make a headboard.

I needed to stick 2 glass shelves together and work well, but had to use the end of the scissors to get the back strip off to expose other sticky back!

AWFUL!!! We were hanging family photos and behind certain parts of the wall is the air ducting and needed to use wall mounting tape. By the description this would be more than enough tape and weight(frames all less than 2 lbs). Hung them up on a clean, dry, flat wall and in the correct temperature range. EVERY SINGLE FRAME fell off the wall, multiple are broken and did damage to the baseboard below. We even used MORE tape than was recommended per the weight to be safe. Will be finding another solution and will be throwing this tape in the trash where it belongs. Very disappointed in a brand like Scotch for such a bad product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this clear mounting tape in exchange for a honest review. After needing to repaint my home after water damage this clear tape has come in handy for many projects, acting like super glue for me. I use the 3M Velcro strips to hang pictures, but really needed something to put things back together. One of the projects I tackled was putting my office back together. I used the tape to attach a fragile starfish to a magnet to be able to have it on my wall. The backing easily peeled off one side so I could attach it to the magnet. Then peeled off the other backing and it was strong enough to attach to the fragile starfish. I now have a lovely office wall!

My use of this double-sticky-sided tape was to secure pictures that would not stay straight, and to secure the cable box which has to teeter on the edge of the bedroom dresser to function. This thick tape holds the box in place now, and it will be easy to remove later.

Used this product to install 28 ft of LED strip lights to the exterior of a camper. Withstands the high speed of the highways. Very pleased with the quality. Just wish it was a little cheaper.

It did what it preclaimed

Maybe there’s something I don’t know, but it’s nearly impossible to peel the backing off this tape. I used it on metal and it didn’t hold great.

This tape is easy to use, with a removable backing, that keeps the tacky side fresh. It adheres well to painted surfaces, finished wood, plastic, glass and tile, but not so well to raw materials like stone, brick or unfinished wall or wood. Generally if the surface is uneven or dull, it won't stick well, but if it's flat, smooth and shiny, it will. The strength is excellent, and it will easily hold light things, such as small pictures, posters, or for use with backings and craft projects. For heavier items, I would still recommend nails or screws. It can easily be removed, but is strong enough, that it won't come apart when it comes time to take it off. This is a high-quality Scotch product and I highly recommend it.

This tape looked great, but it turned out to be of no use to me. It adhered very well to the mounting surface, but I was unable (after repeated attempts) to remove the cover facing me from this thin, double-sided tape.

Difficult to use removal of protective layer is only done carefully with razor or Ecatepec knife

A really good product

This is an excellent product. It held up my guide for my sliding door shutter very well. I I like the fact that it is transparent and not noticeable.

Difficult to cut. Cannot put a screw thru it without it bunching up. When removing the tape paint and plaster ripped off with it. It made a terrible mess of my walls. Not useful for any reason I can see.
