I wanted to like these sponges because at first they appeared to work better than anything else I used. However, after I noticed scratches on practically everything in my kitchen I realized they were a big problem. I now have scratches on my Formica countertop, my stainless sink, my kitchen faucet, and my new stainless range hood. I’m sure there are other items where these sponges have “left their mark” but they don’t immediately come to mind. I also had to use rubber gloves for dishwashing after several gel manicures were ruined just by having the sponge in my hand. I’m just thankful I didn’t use the sponges on any of my stainless appliances. I have now gone back to using the blue version of these sponges. While they don’t clean as well I don’t have to worry about scratching things.

I have always used Scotch Brite blue sponges, no problem. Saw these at my store and decided to try them. I have now ruined my glass top Stainless Steel/Glass top stove, as well as an aluminum spoon rack. The “scrubby dots” are so abrasive, they scratch everything. My stove is ruined, I am beyond heartbroken.

Unfortunately this product scratches pans, stoves and any other metal you have in the kitchen. Do not use this sponge.

This is a great Sponge as it lasts, is versatile, easy to clean and feels like a real sponge. I would recommend this sponge with the highest rating.

Be cautious when using in faucets. It will scratch them. Use the sponge side instead. This is a great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Actually heavy duty! This scubber seems to disburse the scurbbing power evenly, old scubber would gather the scubbed in one spot on sponge leaving one gross spot that had t o be rinsed. Lasted the normal week too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This scrub sponge was just okay. I'm not a particular fan of using a sponge but was looking for this product to change my mind. It didn't. It's okay for washing dishes but it's honestly just a sponge with a minimal scrubber on the back. It did not fall apart right away which is a positive but that's about all I can offer. Disclaimer: I was sent this product to sample in exchange for an honest review.

These sponges scratched my glassware irreparably the first time I used them. Use with caution!

I used these to wash my dishes and they scratched everything - plastic (both hard and soft), pots, pans, silverware, coffee mugs and baking pans. Everything now has a dull sheen to it or swirls of scratches. And they didn’t even clean off the stuck on messes. I still had to soak several things before the mess came off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate enough to have 3M send me this sponge to review and I have been very impressed with how well it can clean really fine dirt or stains off of pans or counters. It’s not as good, in my opinion, at getting really thick sloppy stuff like oatmeal or lasagne stuck to the sides of pans. I prefer the green 3M scrubber sponges for that, but once you have the big mess cleaned up then these sponges do an amazing job of scrubbing off that last, impossible to get off, baked on cheese or the stain on some aluminum or that discoloration on the counter that wouldn’t ever come out. My only real gripe with this sponge is that It doesn’t ever really seem to look completely clean itself even after multiple rinsing efforts. But for scrubbing to a spotless polish I have never seen anything nearly as good.

The scrubbing dot is now my go to sponge and scrubber in one. First because it is the type of sponge that I like, and that gets harder to find these days. Second, and most important is that unlike other products there is no open weave in the scrubbing surface for food to get stuck in. This has always been a complaint with other products and now - problelm solved. I can clean the scrubber and spone to my satisfaction after cleaning my pots and pans. As for my non-stick pans, I just use the sponge side because . . . well nothing gets stuck to them.

It changes it and it is never as soft as it was like when I first got it. It is good with a couple stuck on foods but not on the tough black ones from foods like sausage. Hamburger etc. I also have to wash after 2 days use as ot then stinks.

These sponges might be great for cleaning bathrooms, tools, hardware, etc, but they are NOT suitable for dishes. They scratched every one of our dishes before we realized it was happening and stopped. Nice drinking glasses, silverware, knives..it left scratch marks on everything.

These may not scratch, but they sure don't clean. Tried them because the store was out of the scotch brite non abrasive sponges (great product) May be the worst cleaning product I have ever seen.

I have always used thier blue sponges for nonstick cookwear, but these seem to work much better and are more comfortable in your hand with the curves. I also find that I can use it in the tricky corners better than the other sponges.

Would be good for outdoor use, for scrubbing the grill, for example. The size of the sponge fits perfect in my hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sponges are nice for general cleaning purposes, but they didn't do what I had hoped at oven cleaning. I tried a non-toxic method of oven cleaning (vinegar and baking soda left to soak overnight) and hoped these sponges would then get the grime off the next day, but got only marginal results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge free to review. There were 2 in the package and I took one home and took one to a house I am renovating. I used the one at home in the kitchen to clean and wash plates and also to clean the granite sink. It worked very well, but wore out a little sooner than expected. I am still using the one at the other house and I used it to take paint specks off of a porcelain sink and it worked perfectly. I am still using it and I would definitely use the Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge again.

The scrub dots side I had doubts, thought it might be too gentle. But it really works and does NOT scratch any surface from plates, to glasses, to glass stove tops, etc.

I think I like these better than the regular scotch brite sponge but can't it be more rectangular. I do not like the funny shape.

This sponge has great features including the easy to grip shape, the dual sided sponge with scrub dots on one side for deeper cleaning of stuck on messes. This sponge lasts for a long time and is perfect for washing dishes everyday.

I mistakenly bought these for use in my kitchen. After I opened and used a couple times, I looked at fine print on pkg and saw that they are not for use on stainless steel appliances. In larger print, it states they are safe for pots and pans, etc, AND on concrete and bricks. I tested it on a stainless knife, which I have never considered to be an 'appliance', and it scratched the knife. I wish I had been given these sponges to use and review rather than purchasing them. Not happy I spent the money. What are the scrubbing dots made of that they can scratch so many surfaces?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is good for stubborn gunk on hard surfaces. Don't use it on non-stick cooking surfaces, as it will destroy them. Use it on stainless steel only if you are ok with scratching it. My shower floor is slate file and it tends to get a slick buildup of bath products (soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc). This scrubber cuts through the gunk well, while not getting a heavy buildup around the scrubbing beads. I used it on my stainless steel grill and, while it removed the cooking residue, it also scratched the surface.
