Newly purchased toilet and the valve is defective, now i need to return. The water continues run. I adjusted as low as water will go and still keeps running.

You DO NOT have to HOLD the HANDLE DOWN! For some reason American Standard ships these toilets with the flapper float set at "1" which makes the toilet not flush worth a ...... Adjust the flapper float to "10" and you will LOVE this toilet!!!!! Works as good as the pressure assist toilet we had previously. Handles anything you drop in the bowl and very quiet.

Easy install, nice finish, good bowl evacuation. Perfect if you are well over 6 feet tall. Why are toilets now made as if everyone is 6' 5" or taller? I am 5'11" and this is uncomfortable. My wife is under 5' and feels like she needs steps to get onto the toilet. I misread the height dimension as the toilet I replaced was 16 1/2" to the seat. I would have to special order the 15" height toilet. I guess I won't have to worry about people lingering in the bathroom too long.

Very easy product to install. Love the chair height and the way it flushes. Has been installed for several weeks now. No problems. Only thing extra to purchase was the supply hose. More than satisfied with this toilet.

Toilet comes with everything needed to install except a supply hose. I used a Sani Seal ring instead of the wax type ring that came with the toilet. Toilet installed easily. Flushes strong , handles the intended job well and looks really good . I would definitely recommend.

I read a lot of reviews on a lot of different toilets before I purchased this one. I like the chair height and function of this toilet. It flushes well and quickly. The contractor was familiar with it and said it was a good selection too. I also like the soft-close seat and lid.

This toilet was the first one Ive ever installed, and it was a breeze! Had it flushing in about 20 minutes! Plus it looks great and the seat is at the perfect height! I will mostly likely be installing two more of these for my other 2 bathrooms soon! Highly recommended!

We installed two of the Cadet 3 toilets in our small main bathroom and even smaller half bath in our 1948 cottage-style home. They look greater, operate flawlessly and the minImal water usage is great. We have now installed this toilet in our another home, too.

Never thought I would be so excited about a new toilet. I have an old house with old plumbing and this toilet works great. Fastest flush ever!

The toilet is great, made well, and attractive. I can only say - Open the box before you leave the store. I got home, removed the old toilet (it's in the basement), then opened the box! What I found was a broken toilet bowl but the box looked great. Back up the steps and off to Home Depot to get one that wasn't broken. Home Depot was great about it and had it waiting for me. Do yourself a favor and don't forget to check inside before you leave the store!

So far so good. Nice flush and easy to install. I'm sure very soon ALL condos/homes/apartments will use a Tall/Chair/Comfort height toilet. I've needed an ADA Compliant toilet since 2009 due to mobility issues, and we did have one in the upstairs bathroom in our house we just sold. In our new place we needed to install one as we've been "used to" a higher toilet for 10 years and a "standard" toilet just doesn't cut it at all. We have 2 toilets and replaced both here with a Cadet 3.

Great Product and Inexpensive. Rapid and clean flush. I am very happy with all 3 of these American Standards I bought.

Installed Cadet 3 Tall Round 10" Rough-in for our space restrictions. Ease of installation and function was good. Self closing lid/seat is nice but somewhat uncomfortable. Will probably replace it.

BUYER BEWARE!! Still working on getting this toilet installed!! During the step of the factory flush flap assembly, someone forgot to pre-install the tank bolts first. The fill tube slightly encroaches over the bolt hole not allowing the head of the bolt to seat to the bottom of the tank. I’m about to cut/break out said flush flap assembly, and buy another one, as the nut on the bottom of the tank is extremely oversized and overtightened and could not be loosened with a strap wrench. I would take the toilet back however, I have already fastened it to the floor with the wax ring and caulk. This is not Home Depot’s fault, I completely blame American Standard for the lack of quality control. Other than that, it seems like a nice toilet.

This toilet is a great value. Originally I bought it for the higher seat height, which is working great for me, but I also like its flushing capability. My old toilet (2001) was a 1.6 gpf, and we kept a small bucket of water to help with certain loads, but this toilet has no problem those loads, and that is with a 1.28 gpf rating. The only thing to remember is to hold the flush handle for a little bit longer for those stubborn flushes. As far as installation, be sure to check the floor flange. If it sets on top of the floor, you're set to go. If it is flush with the floor, then you will more than likely need an extra thick wax ring to make sure you have a good seal. I checked the wax ring that came with the package, and when installed, it was level with the bottom edge of the toilet base. This would have resulted in a leaking seal, and nobody wants that... Overall, I'm glad I got this.

It was a perfect replacement .My only concern or rather disappointment was the auto close seat cover was plastic. I was expecting a wooden seat cover but did not look far enough to realize it was just plastic. I am using it and it works great.

Replaced my older American Standard (low height) with this taller model. Been using for a few days with no issues. It flushes fast, I assume because of the 3 inch opening from the tank into the trapway. I have not had to hold down the handle for an adequate flush, a simple push and release makes it flush fast. No problem installing myself. The numbskull that plumbed my house put the supply line directly in line with the toilet drain so I did have to put a close fit 90 degree elbow on the supply line so that I could mount the shutoff valve to the side. Clearance between the trapway to the wall is ~2.75 inches. This problem was not because of the toilet but like I mentioned the idiot plumber who didn't put the water supply to the side.I did use a thicker wax ring because my mounting ring was just below floor level.

Love the appearance just not very happy with the flush. The depth of water in the tank is 7 1/2 inches when you press the flush lever it only drops to 4 1/2 inches before the flapper closes. With the water level only dropping 3 inches it is not a very strong flush. If you hold the handle down the tank will empty and you get a strong flush. Time will tell how it does with bigger loads. The tank lid has a small chip on the back in the corner. As I unboxed each item I checked them over and the lid had the chip when I unwrapped it The chip was not in the wrap so it must have been shipped that way. The chip is in back and doesn't show. Also the wax ring was smashed and split apart out of box. Our installer had an extra wax ring in his truck so install was completed. Overall it meets our needs.

Not really sure what to write about a toilet other than it works as it should. I really like the no slam seat. It is much quieter than one it replaced and the finish is nice. It's been in less than a week so not much more to report. Oh I should mention it is nice to have it all in one from bolts to wax ring

After watching this product demonstration video I took the chance of buying it. It works as well as the demonstration. I'm very happy with it it's a low flow toilet saving me water and it takes everything down with ease.. I installed it myself and feel like I got a fantastic deal.

Replaced a 28 year old toilet. So far so good! It’s been in about a week.

Pros: Elongated bowl, comfort height, included slow close seat and wax ring. 1.28 flush volumeCons: 1.28 gallon flush (requires holding down flush handle a little longer usual to make sure it uses the full 1.28 gallon, otherwise it will short cycle)The first unit I took home and installed had a tank with a defect that allowed water to leak at a constant drip. Home depot corrected the problem by exchanging just the tank. They did not require me to uninstall the entire toilet and return it. The exchange was painless and quick. I had the replacement tank installed in 30 minutes and it worked flawlessly.Home Depot took a negative problem and fixed it with minimal effort. Kudos to the service Dept at the Cottonwood location.So far the toilet has performed very well.I would have rated this toilet 5 star except for the poor quality control that allowed a leaky tank to make extra work for the consumer.I do recommend this toilet and would purchase again thanks to how the problem was handled

We recently renovated our bathroom and added this comfort height, soft close seat toilet. Love that it came with everything needed. We did swap out the flush handle and water line with oil rubbed bronze to match our other fixtures. Works well and am very happy customer!

came well packed and does a very good job at its job. Its a fast flush so the noise isn't too bad, quieter than our old one. Its tall so keep that in mind. I'm 6foot3 and I think its taller than the last one but my wife (5foot8) can reach just fine to the floor but if you're 5 foot nothing tall your feet will probably not touch the ground. Just measure measure measure and you'll be fine.

Excellent product. Easy to install. Nice looking. Includes toilet seat and wax ring along with all the hardware. A complete package.

Had my plumber install and it replaced a 20 year old unit. Works great. Flushes beautifully and seems to fill up fast. My only disappointment is that I couldn't test the 56 chicken nuggets or 41 cigarettes flushing against the video. That stuff is pricey!

The flush is good but the seat is cheaply made with faulty design made it feel terrible when sit on. The seat move side to side because of the space between base and the seat rim {It should be no space}, also the hollow design of the seat rim made it weak and shifty.

They give you everything you need, wax ring,bolts, and soft close seat. Also the tank flush and fill valve come fully installed. The only thing that bugged me was the plastic bolts on the seat and bowl. So far uses far less water than the older toilets and is very quiet filling up after a flush.
