Great look, valves open and close smoothly with a quality feel, easy installation and best of all at a great price by a company with a solid reputation. If you like this style and your sink is bored 8 inches then this a no brainer. We just replaced a set of faucets with this fixture and by far, the most difficult part of the task was removing the old faucets. The speed connect system is a “game changer” and the instructions are clear and detailed, with one exception. They should contain a little more detail as to how the pop up drain release knob goes together. At first glance it is a bit confusing, but it only works one way. So, after a few tries we got it right and then wondered why we had trouble in the first place. The most compelling reason we selected this fixture is its unusual ook and feel. It is a bit of a styling contradiction to use brushed nickel and a modernistic shaped faucet spout with traditional style handles in a widespread format which is typically “old school”. But that is what appealed to us. I did see where some reviews marked down a star for ether quality and/or value. We cannot understand why. We feel the reverse is true. The price is definitely a value and the quality of the product should demonstrate itself over time as other American Standard fixtures have.

This review is on the Somerville 8 in 2-Handle Bathroom Faucet in Brushed Nickel. This faucet was the perfect choice for our main full bathroom. I prefer 8 inch faucets in larger vanities and 4 inch faucets in smaller vanities (our main full bath has a large 48 inch vanity with a marble top). It's defintely a quality faucet made by American Standard accompanied by their usual limited lifetime warranty - so buy with confidence. It's easy to install, doesn't drip or leak and it has a uniquely elegant style. The brushed nickel is my favorite finsih by far and and it's price is very afforable.

Looks nice when installed but the faucet appears to be made in two pieces that are joined but leaves a ridge on the side. Looks okay when mounted but leaves a place for gunk to hide. Each valve/handle set has permanently attached 24” water lines so you will not need to buy connection hoses most likely. Problem is that I don’t need anywhere close to that much line and the excess is in the way as there is limited space in my installation. Quick connectors are joined at a “T” fitting to link the valves/handles to the faucet. They are easy to use and seem to work fine but the cynic in me always wonders about snap fit connections though I have never had a problem with any from a quality maker.

What an amazing faucet. This will very soon be replacing the current faucet that I have in my kitchen. Between the elegant look and sturdy construction it was a no-brainer for me. I look forward to seeing the updated look in my kitchen. If you have any hesitations about this product do not. You will be very pleased. Highly recommended. This is a complete set of. As long as you have a current faucet in your kitchen you will not need anything.

I received my American Standard Somerville 8 in. widespread 2-handle bathroom faucet today, it came very well packed. The faucet has a nice looking brushed nickel finish and is a very heavy brass well made faucet. This fits a vanity with a 8 in. spread for the mounting holes and is simple to install with push together connectors Works great ,easy to install and looks good, also easy to clean around the spout and handles. .

Look clean and sleek. Purchased for a rental.

Very easy to install. Although instructions say sealant generally not needed, I did need to add silicone sealant to the drain assembly on the underside of the sink. If you don’t, it will leak through the threads of the drain pipe.

The box was missing the three rubber O-rings from the mounting kits, which they were nice enough to ship but still made the project last a lot longer. Got all the way through the installation and found I needed to buy a drain extender, which meant another trip to Home Depot. Which is fine, but would have been nice to mention it in the instructions so I didn't think I did something wrong. Same goes for the plumber's putty that's needed to make the drain watertight - no mention of that in the instructions. The drain is still not 100% watertight, and the instructions are not clear on how to disassemble it if I want to try it again - I wasn't able to unscrew the drain (above the sink) from the drain assembly below the sink.

I ordered Two faucets. One works fine but the other one has faulty handle which turns 360 degree.I'll be asking replacement part from the supplier!Steve

I love it. It was the easiest install of 3 sinks and it works smoothly.

This is a very nice lavatory faucet set up. kit included all the basics to install it and it was easy to do. had it installed in minutes, but it wasnt the first one i have done. easy install makes it for fast and easy. Brushed nickle color is very nice and matches other bathroom items. Keep in mind that thi is an 8 inch spread, it is not your usual bathroom spread. very unique design. Overall, not bad for the price point. i do still prefer the single handle style faucet as it makes for faster on and off.

While there are many choices in widespread bath faucets this one from American Standard stands out as one of the best. The speed connect drain system cuts installation time substantially and the operation of the drain is smoother than than conventional designs. This faucet is very competitively priced, about half the cost of some of its rivals, yet with better quality.

I read reviews before ordering this faucet, but I would give it a 100%, five stars. The installation was easy (you "could" pop for a shorter hose if you don't want the one included), it looks beautiful, doesn't show fingerprints or water marks, and I have yet to see anywhere that gunk could collect as one reviewer said. I have had mine for a month, with numerous people using it, and it always looks good. I'm very happy with it and would order two more for another bath we want to remodel.

It is of high quality finish looks great, very stylish and was easy to install myself. I put on a new vanity top. It works great. It has meet all expectations. And I will buy another for my other bathroom. Would recommend this to a friend or family in a heart beat.

This 2-Handle Bathroom Faucet with Pop-Up Drain in Brushed Nickel by American Standard has a simple yet elegant look. Its contemporary look could easily blend into most bathroom decor. The installation sheet is clear and straightforward and I like the faucet handles and supply lines were pre-assembled. It took me less than 30 min. to remove the old one and put this new one in. The build and material are top notch. I strongly recommend this faucet for any new bathroom construction or remodel project.
