I rated this a 4 only because our hood is not completely installed as we are waiting for the wall tile to be installed and cannot rate how well it will block any downdrafts or if it is noisy when the wind is blowing. The installation of the "No Return Valve" was quick and easy with all parts included. Instructions were easy to follow.

Product was as advertised. Would have been nicer if shipping was a little faster for such a small item. Packaged very well for a fragile piece.

Worked great till I noticed lack of air flow. Tore apart and found a broken hinge.

Although the part I ordered was the part for my appliance, it was NOT the correct size as stated in the description. My vent hood transition piece is 8" diameter. The description states 8" Non return valve but I ordered this piece two different times and both were 6". I ended up purchasing from another vendor and finally received the correct piece!

I think the non-return valve should be included on the unit.

The product arrived in good condition. It also included detailed documentation for installation and a parts list for future reference.

So this is a backdraft preventer. It's a good idea to use one if you are venting your hood outside your house and you don't want hot or cold air to blow back down your hood. It's not a bad price, but not the only backdraft preventer on the market. I point this out because the Arietta installation guide calls this a "recirculating accessory" which could be confused with the recirculating kit used to circulate the air back into your house.
