Worked well for removing efflorescence from brick
These worked well to remove very stubborn efflorescence & excess mortar from exterior brick along the front of our home. Very easy to use, just throw it in your drill and get after it. What I like about these is that they maintain their abrasiveness down to the end, unlike sandpaper. I found that reversing the direction of my drill every few minutes helped to maximize effectiveness. At roughly $7 per disc, they are a bit pricey and can add up for larger projects. Overall I would recommend!

Works well - secondary to 30grit sand paper
Sand paper 30 grit works faster and better. However, I would have to use several pieces compared to this disc. The disc can remove paint off of several boards of shiplap so it's just more cost efficient to use this disc -- albeit a bit slower.

      Used it for cast iron
You can use it to smooth a cheap cast iron or you can be smart and get a carbon steel skillet (already comes smooth). It will take alot of time to smooth out cast iron pan and then 3 hours to reseason. If your not good with tools just get a carbon steel skillet and a Chinese wok (carbon steel)...they are lighter weight than a cast iron and works just as well. Carbon Steel care is just like a cast iron care, and you can heat on stove, in oven, on grill or open flame. If your minimal maintenance just get a set of stainless steel pots and pan from Kirkland brand or Cuisinart set...those will last better than nonstick.

Saved me from my botched kitchen cabinet stain job
long story short I was going to stay my 40 year old kitchen cabinets did the cleaning with TSP, let it dry then stand it cleaned it up again when I went to apply the stain it was still tacky after almost a week of drying so I knew I did something wrong I didn't send enough old stain off the new stain to penetrate properly I panicked instead of using chemical removers waiting and scraping I had an extra one of these lying around and decided to try it out toward the stain right off no problem and even got a lot of the old stain off too granted it's not 100% perfect as this only has about 1 inch with working surface so it takes time and at this point I'm impatient on the plus side though I only stay in the inside of the cabinet doors so when they're closed you can't tell it all it did six doors no problem although at this point the disc has a lot of old stain in it so I'm going to swap it out for a fresh one and of course today I discovered that auntie makes the same thing for angle grinders to cover even more work area I only have six stores left but I may buy that one in the future to do the front and back of the doors and throw on some primer and paint one day

Used to take residue off brick from old Fypon header
Used to take residue off brick from old Fypon header (changed from triangle to flat header) Where there used to be residue from caulk and dirt. You have to be careful around the grout but it worked perfectly for what I needed. I had tried using acid to wipe down the brick and it made it 10x worse. Looked up a YouTube video that suggested to use this tool, and so glad I did!

I used it to strip rust and chipped paint from a steel door. It worked great. You need to use low rpms and figure out the right angle and pressure.

Did a very good job sanding down an iron railing with some rust. Much faster and easier than my wire brush wheel. I wish the center mounting post were another inch longer. I think I wore down about 1/3 of the wheel on a 6’ section of railing, including top and bottom rails and a dozen posts. Will definitely use again on more railing, but I might go for 2” diameter disc to get into tighter spaces.

Great for removing paint from wooden “ hard to get to places” and having it slightly damp makes it easier.

Surprised at how quickly it removed the paint and corrosion spots. This abrasive wheel really works.

I needed to remove polyurethane from a wooden chair. This worked great and reduced the amount of time by 70% - had I used sandpaper. Just make sure to use the edge of the disc in the direction of the grain. Otherwise, you will cause swirls in the wood.
