I've used this system for 15 yrs. I usually get 3 to 4 years of use before having to replace. This last purchase was seriously deficient in quality. After only 4 hrs of use, I have multiple wear holes in the hose in the 12" coming out of the vacuum. The hose has a much more "plastic" feel to the material. Definitely not as robust as previously used materials.

It has been great for me and last good. Will buy again if need to.

This is so cheaply made that I had to use duck tape and zip ties to keep it together, the pick up chute has a small extruded area that causes the leafs and small twigs to plug up the chute. The hose kept coming off the leave blower and as did the hose that goes into the net. The net is sub standard

First use after unpacking. Hose assembly made of cheap materials, not designed for high velocity/mulch leaf collection. Made of mostly thin gauge plastic easily kinks(permanent) and tears. Pail drawstring mesh attachment keeps loosening not designed for pails with handles. Product worked pretty well until hose structure failed.

This is a gadget that really works; leaf collection is now almost fun! I have used this system for a month now and cleared the entire back yard full of wet leaves faster than ever before. The biggest drawback of leaf collection is the bag: it's too small, bulky, hard to empty, and takes a lot of time away from collecting leaves, but it is heavy! This product solves all those problems: by using a separate container, you don't have to carry the leaves around with you, the capacity is huge, and it's easy to empty when you need to. All this means you can spend more time clearing up leaves instead of emptying a bag. Also, the weight of the leaf vac never changes because the leaves you collect are not attached to you. From reading other reviews, you know there are some engineering improvements that need to be made (see photos): positive closures where the tube goes into the fabric and where the fabric covers the collection bin are needed, as is a heavy weight in the bottom of the bin. Your experience may be different, but I needed to tighten up the connection between the tube and the leaf vac itself (B&D Leaf Hog) with some duct tape. Operation is smooth; the collection tube itself never clogged; if the leaves make it through the leaf vac, they will end up in the bin. An additional benefit of having such a large receptacle is that there is always a clear path away from the leaf vac--collecting into a bag decreases the performance of the vacuum as you go. Even with a lot of sticks, the collection tube held up very well when collecting leaves on grass. When collecting leaves on dirt with some mulch and stones, something did punch a hole in the tube, but it did not affect the efficiency of collection. Moral: blow leaves away from the dirt and onto the grass before collecting them. Even with only one season's use, there is already some wear showing on the fabric. Whether or not that matters remains to be seen. Even if it wears out soon, I'll just buy another one. No more bags!

Makes bagging leaves into the yard waste can easier than using the collect bag that came with back and decker leaf blower/vacuum.

This weedeater is a throw away weedeater. I have been using  this brand for 10-15 years, but they always break down.  I am at the Black and Decker repair shop very often. The string gets stuck, the power button gives up and you have to wait till it decides to start again,  it uses up a lot of string, and when you take it in they now charge you to replace the spool. It used to be free. And many times they just switch it out for a new one but your warranty is reduced  to three months. My weedeater was6 months old and when I took it in I got a new one and the warranty was reduced to 90 days.  The only reason I keep buying it again and again is because it’s the only one that uses a single line. But I’ve had it i am going to try another one. I don’t recommend it. Unless you like temporary equipment. Hard to write the review because I can’t review what I am typing.

It seemed like a very good idea, but the attachment end had a fitting without a latch, making it useless without modification.

I love this leaf collector as you can mulch the leaves. I thought it was better than putting leaves for removal. As others say, the hose gets holes, it is useless when the tube get holes. I tried to fix the hole but nothing much works.

Quality of manufacture is good. The hose is sturdy. My only quibble is the attachment of the screen to the top of a garbage can does not seem like it will last very long. But it should be easily fixable. Definitely saved me time with leaf collection. Comes with multiple adaptors for different leaf blower/vac models. I should've bought this thing years ago.

It's easy to set up and works great.

Both worked great. Made quick work of leaf cleanup.

It didn’t really work very well. It was slow and the hose got clogged with leaves easily.

Was working great, and then the second time I used it the hose completely ripped. VERY upsetting

For a B&D BV2500 Type 6 yard vac/blower. I got this because the original canvas collection bag with shoulder strap has ripped at the top right at the plastic connector collar, and I have not been able to find an exact replacement. The hose on this Collection system connected to my fairly old yard vac perfectly. However, the hose is only attached to the bag/cover by an elastic collar - and pulls off way too easily if you stretch out the hose too far. Need to duct tape it to hold.

Works as advertised. Definitely easier to have the mulched leaves go right in to the can. Make sure you tighten the string around the hood that fastens to the can.

This doesnt work. Its cover will not get tight to the trash can and keep coming out.Unless it need modification with a hard top lid and air exhaust screen vent.. Also too much weight for the discharge flex hose and is the reason for failure of the cover net to come off from the trash can.

Would be better if band around barrel was a flexable band.

I had planned to use this attachment to blow directly into a recyclable lawn bag, but the part is not suited for this and so far I haven't used it successfully yet.

Great idea but doesn't work well. Draw string for the canister cover doesn't hold. Spent a lot of time reattaching. Unless your canister is heavier it will tip over again causing the cover to come off.
