I cut a hole in the lower side to weld in a bung for a exit shutoff valve. Welded in a top-side bung for a rollover valve also. So, with a bit of re-do, this is now a great transfer tank that meets all DOT specs. Why the heck Better Built doesn't just do this, I have no idea. They would sell a lot more of them. I have seen better welding on the flanges of other thanks ................ built in Mexico and you get what you pay for. I used contact glue to adhere 1/2" rubber stall mat to the bottom and front edge so there would be no metal on metal friction. Didn't like the idea of a Al tank vibrating ever so little or much on the bed of a P/U.

Received the tank in excellent condition. I immediately modified the tank (before it was filled with any fuel) by having a drain plug welded in and removing the two end mounting tab as it was too wide for my pickup. These conditions were known before purchase. The empty tank with pump installed is light enough to by lifted in and out of the pickup by one man which is the major reason for going with this tank. This setup will be used once or twice a year.

Great size for home and garden use. I use it to fill my lawnmowers. It sure beats the 5 gallon can routine!

Do not buy!! The tank arrived used and bent. It looks like someone bought it and returned it, then a different person bought it and installed it, didn't like it, and then returned it. And then I bought it and they sent it to me.

Good product at a better price than anywhere else I could find. Delivery was very quick, all mounting hardware included. Only one minor detail I didn't like; the "locking gas cap" feature is just a hole drilled through the cap for a padlock. There was next to nothing to keep the cap from being forced open by a strong pair of hands. A fix was to weld a tab on the tank to secure the padlock. Overall, I am very pleased.

I mounted this tank in my mower trailer because it didn't take up too much space. it is a quality tank that came with all the mounting bolts and also the fuel cap. overall it is excellent.
