This purchase was a replacement for the return of the Corinthian Fire Pit we had to return to Home Depot since it would not light and then it wouldn't release any propane at all. We boxed that one back up and returned it to the store; a hassle for sure, but return was not questioned by Home Depot. Was nervous purchasing another Bond product but the Sonoma pit has worked exactly as it is supposed to. Ordering/delivery and pick up from Home Depot was flawless. The Sonoma pit out of the box, was a relief as there was no damage to the product at all. All we had to do was connect the propane tank, place the lava rocks and install the ignition battery and viola, it lit, stayed lit, and would allow you to adjust the flame as it is supposed to, no issues at all that we had with the previous Corinthian pit we purchased the first time around. In the last few weeks, the Sonoma pit as started with no issues and actually has even more heat than I had anticipated. Love the design and ease of use. Looks great and creates a nice atmosphere for an evening of fire sitting with no hassle of wood, smoke and soot to deal with like a normal wood fire. May even purchase another to have two, one for front patio and one for back patio. Hopefully, it will last awhile. Cover provided is adequate, but nothing to brag about. Looking to make an aluminum top to create table space for when fire not in use.

Ours arrived without any damage. Connects easily to propane tank. Quick, easy start. Picture is true portrayal of product with variations of medium/dark brown that make it look and feel like stone. Have had outside on back patio for about 4 months under the supplied cover when not in use ... NO rusting or breakdown unlike previous propane tall heaters we tried. I actually cut some cardboard the size of the top to put under the cover so rain does not collect in the cover top; cover is rainproof. Love that you are able to use glass rocks with this; adds a classy touch! Heat spreads nicely to those seated around it (at least you don't have to stand next to it), but in about 60 degrees of Florida winter under pergola I would say only goes about 4 or 5 feet out even when it is on high. Maybe it would spread further if you had more than one side of a building around it. Nice compliment to our back patio.

love it just the right size for our top deck a liitle hard to ignite but could be operator error looks great and great price too....go for it no regrets

when we open the box it was broken. We called the company and we would have to pay for another then we would get a credit when they received it. We called Home Depot in Piqua and they told us we could bring it there and they would give us a refund then order a new one which is what we did. Home Depot employees in Piqua are always very helpful! On the plus side the fire column if not broken looked very nice and I am looking forward to trying the new one.

I really enjoy the fire column as it was as I hoped. Adding the blue fire glass makes it even better and was the topic of discussion at my most recent get together. Had it out of the shipping box and operating on my patio in less that 30 minutes. Very pleased and great value for the price

The product's packaging was severely inadequate as it arrived with several chips and small cracks from being beat around by UPS. It also came with not enough lava rock to even begin to cover the burner ring. I was forced to make a decision to either send back and hope the same thing wouldn't happen or deal with it. I opted to use paint to cover the chips and buy more lava rock. When I got it up and running it worked fine but was more susceptible to slight breezes than I thought it would be. Unfortunately it looks like it is several years old instead of brand new. A word to the wise, this fire pit is quite heavy once you add a full 20lb tank and subsequently is not very portable - contrary to what the ad suggests. I ended up having to put it on a small wheeled dolly in order to move it from the covered area of my deck for storage to the open area for usage just so i would not risk a hernia.

I always wanted a firepit to sit by on those cool evenings but only have a small patio in a town home comunity. Wed burning firepits are not ideal for the space since you can't control the height of the fire. But this one uses a propane tank and the flames can go as low as 2 inches or as high as 12 inchs....you control it. When you are ready to go in you simply turn it off....no need to wait for the fire to burn down/out. Love the convenience!!! I would only like it if it came with more laa rock than it does. My other option was to buy a 10 lb bg but that is too much and I have very little storage out there.

I ordered this after returning a more expensive unit to another retailer due to quality was not equal to the cost. This model is great quality, better than I expected for the price. Shipment was super fast. I went to the local hardware and purchased a tank and within an hour of delivery was enjoying a fire. Love that it came assembled and the instruction manual is very clear and easy to understand. Lights easily and quickly. Very attractive, picture doesn't do it justice. So happy that I made this purchase and highly recommend it!

The Sonoma fire column that we purchased from HD brings out the beautiful shades of brown that are in our HD Trek Decking that we had built last summer. The product is very durable and easy to use. Thanks for working with us on choosing this product HD.
