I just installed this beautiful range hood a couple days ago and we're very happy with it. The installation was a little more complicated than I expected it to be because the bottom of the cabinet over our range was very "non-standard". I ended up using a 1/4 inch wood shim and the flat easy-mount plate on one side of the cabinet and the L-shaped easy-mount bracket on the opposite side of the cabinet bottom. Electric wiring from the old range hood that I removed was adequate for hooking up this beauty. Once the cabinet bottom issues were dealt with, the rest of the installation went quickly. (Except for cleaning up the gallon can of Behr white paint that I knocked over on the top of our black stove when I tried to lift the range hood onto the easy-mount brackets. Luckily I had a good drop-cloth over the stove and was able to scoop most of the spilled paint back into the can.) I elected to install this now as an unvented hood. Later, when I have time, I'll install the rectangular vent through the wall behind the stove to let the heat into our greenhouse that sits behind the stove wall. This hood looks really sharp and works wonderfully. The fan is very powerful and quiet even at the highest speed. The filters are easy to remove for cleaning and cover the entire interior of the hood. The LED lighting is fabulous! So much brighter than our old 40 watt appliance bulb. The control buttons for the lights and fan take some getting used to because they only need a very light touch. Thankfully, they emit a little beep when you've pressed them properly and tiny LEDs indicate they are on and in whatever state (Hi or Low for Lights and Low, Medium and High Speed for the Fan.) We are very, very pleased with our new NuTone range hood and highly recommend it.

This range hood is very quiet. I needed to modify my hood because I live in an older home where the last owner did not have a wired range hood. After sorting out the shenanigans it works fine. It is fairly simple to use. Looks nice. It is a tad bit loud but not a biggie if you tend to prepare meals alone and don't talk a lot while preparing meals. The lights are bright. The range hood is pretty light weight. Installation would be much easier if instructions were simplified and DIY friendly. Delivered in one box, no assembly required. Range hood comes with a 3-year manufacturers warranty. It takes a while to get used to the sleek build versus the old bulky ones with protruding buttons. It's a nice upgrade if you're transforming your kitchen.

From the shipping and delivery, to opening the package, reading the instructions, and then installing the Mantra AVDF1 Deluxe 30 in. Convertible Range Hood in Stainless Steel, my husband and I are more than pleased with the whole entire process - everything was simple, easy to follow, detail oriented, and completely exact in all measurements, specifications, and applicability. THE ONLY THING TO KEEP IN MIND: this range hood DOES NOT have an easy plug that you simply plug into an outlet, SO, if you are replacing an existing hood or just installing a new one you NEED THE WIRE HOOK UP's for this to work - if you do not have them and are just expecting to plug this in it will not work.

I ordered this range hood to install above our new range. Our old range hood was a lower end model, which recirculated the smoke/air through a charcoal filter. It really never worked very well. So when I installed this one, I decided to install it to vent through an outside wall via a rectangular duct and a wall cap. During installation I noted the fan size appeared to be about 2.5 times the size of our old one. Also it has two filters which encompass the entire underside of the hood, rather than just the area over the fan. It has two LED lights built in. When I first turned the fan on I noted that it is exponentially quieter than our old one, even on its highest setting. My wife cooked some bacon earlier today and it vented all the smoke outside. Also we had some scallops for dinner and for once there was no remaining seafood smell in the kitchen. The only thing I guess I don’t really care for is the tap touch buttons. That’s probably more my issue than the device’s though. Everyone else likes them. I just prefer the simple old school toggle switches.

This is the best range hood I’ve ever owned. Super bright linear LED lighting has two levels. The blower has three and is very effective. I love the flush controls and rounded corners.

If I could give this zero stars I would. The light on the unit I bought started going out intermittently soon after we got it, but it seemed to eventually come back on so we lived with it. It is a pain to have to deal with an issue on a brand new unit! Now the lights don't work at all. I called Broan and they wouldn't do anything since it was past the year warranty. I'm sorry, but things like lights should work a lot longer than a year. Very poor quality control. I'd look elsewhere.

Excellent variable LED lighting, much superior to traditional bulb lighting. Quiet, smooth and solid fan with variable speed. Good wire cover protection. Attractive design. Assembly took some work, but that always seems to be the case!

The unit works well. However, when you push the button to change the vent speed, the unit makes this strange mechanical noise which is concerning.

Good looks. Nice features (2 level LED lighting). Fan is overly loud except on lowest setting. Good though overall.

I installed a new unit yesterday. I noticed a small humming sound from the transformer when the LED light was on. Following the manufacturer replies to similar issues reviewed hereI called their technical service line. They answered in less than 5 min. After verifying the model and location their solution was great in my view. They are shipping the new transformer and then I need to call a service professional that they provided to do the replacement. The humming sound is not annoying, but unusual and about the same level as the new quiet refrigerator I have , so they were concerned enough to keep the customer happy. LED power supplies operate at high frequencies and may cause thos hum sounds sometimes. Issues like that can happen anywhere. The difference is how quick you can get them addressed and I am very happy how it was handled. As far as sound level go. I replaced an old unit with probably 100 CFM fan. Of course when I run the new one at the 300 CFM setting through the same exhaust opening there will be more wind noise as the air flow is 3 times faster. It is just physics. I don't hear any motor noises though which I did on the old unit. The fact that it uses half the power that most hoods with the same CFM use was another reason for me to choose this new hood. The thing I like the most is the fact that the new mantra hood covers all the stove burners and it is able to exhaust most of the smoke, which the old standard size hood never did well.

All aroung great product. Easy installation and very attractive.

Easy to install, air is powerful, led lights very bright, good deep size, air conducts provided. The only bad is that it didn’t come with the power plug cord, it would be nice if it had it.

Looks good, waiting for Home depot cabinets installation to be completed.

Easy assembly nice design make little noise when turn on fan

Easy install. Fan works well. Very quiet on first two settings. A little loud on maximum but that’s to be expected. I gave it four stars as the on/off switches are a less than responsive. They are touch sensitive but are a bit glitchy.

Love the range hood. Easy to install, quiet and truly sucks the heat out of the kitchen. My neighbors know what’s for dinner every night and they live 100 yards away.

Quiet; good lighting and fan speed selections; slim profile; had to use 7” to 6” reducer for duct exhaust opening.

Installed with the ventless option because my condo limits the ability to cut vent holes. I was realistic about what a ventless range hood could do relative to a vented one, and this has far exceeded my expectations. Quiet and removed a ton of smoke and odor, and we cook on high heat a lot.

Fairly easy for installation with two people

Was a little tricky getting the hood in but not bad. Looks nice, even makes my kitchen look better, my new range goes with it nicely. Can barely hear it on low setting, louder on high setting but that is to be expected.

Looks really nice in my kitchen. Using the ductless option right now and plan to put in a duct in the future. Seems to work well and should work even better once the duct goes in. On fan speed 2 and 3 it is not quiet, but that doesn't bug me because I'm only running it while cooking and shortly after finished cooking. Fan speed 1 is quiet. The lights work well. Overall happy with my purchase, I think it's a good value.
