Yes, it does not give the sharpest cut. You'd need a saw for that, but with a saw you get a lot of dust. There are a lot of reviews here and on other sites saying they are returning it because it doesn't cut perfectly. You'd really want to go back to a saw? No one will see the cut and it doesn't affect the integrity of it. I just finished a 200 sq ft bedroom in under 70 minutes and it was done with minimal dust. It didn't take too much force to cut, either, but maybe because it's new. I was on my knees or sitting on my butt and I was able to cut it. Sometimes its a tad hard to see where the pencil line is on the laminate/vinyl, but it's not too bad at all. It's very well built and should last me a while. The "unlock" slide was very hard the first time. I had to wrap the handle in a towel and tap it with a wrench.

Ones you make sure the blade and table are square this thing works great. Steal using it now and I like it a-lot.

We initially bought this for cutting cement fiber lap siding, and will also use it for laminate flooring. I was a bit skeptical that a manually-operated tool could cut through tough cement fiber, but it does so easily, in just seconds, with no dust whatsoever. A honing stone is included with the purchase at no additional cost. One of the best tools ever!

Broke on 1st cut. I had to go buy 1" tube steel to make a new bracket to get use out of it!! Aluminum brackets are a poor choice for an arm bracket

This tool is a real time saver and cuts down on sawdust 99%! While not inexpensive, it is still a worthwise investment from a healthwize stand point. You do need a strong arm to cut through thick pieces of laminate ( I used 10mm with a 2mm padding attached). If you have an assistant to help you cut while you hold the piece square in the tool, it is a lot easier and faster. Some pieces came out with rather jagged edges instead of real clean cuts. So, it's not perfect. But, it gets the job done satisfactorily and saves a lot of time and don't forget........almost sawdust free! That's the real selling point. I gave it four stars instead of five because the ruler markings on the tool were blurred to the point that it rendered them useless. That's an obvious defect and needs to be addressed through better quality control for a U.S.A. made tool. I just hope the blade lasts for me to finish my project which is only two bedroom floors. Because a new blade runs about $35.00! A honing stone is included with the tool in case you need to resharpen the blade. Just be extremely careful or you'll have no fingers any longer.

This cutter came assembled. It took me a minute to figure out how to unlock it because it took a pretty good amount of force to slide the safety over the first time. I installed 700 SF of 14mm laminate flooring and this tool made the process so much easier. Using this cutter is easier and cleaner than a saw. I would definately recommend.

I was really impressed . I am a true DYI person and have never installed a laminate floor before. This made installing my new flooring very easy also my cuts were very straight . I am very impressed.I used the cutter on 10mm flooring .

This thing cuts great. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the measuring gauge is off by about an eighth of an inch. No problem, just use a tape measure and mark.

Installed 600 SF of laminate with this and had no issues. Tool eliminated a lot of dust and time.

It’s so fast, used it in walk-in closet. No getting up and down. Also did some 45 degree cuts, all cuts were accurate. This is the tool to use for vinyl flooring.
