Absorbs Light, works in limited direct sunlight.
I was worried one of the caps would not get any direct sunlight however the amount of light even without direct sunlight will allow the cap to run for about 90-120 mins. At least in the summer time this is enough to last till 10:30-11:00pm. Also it should be noted the screws included are a but short for standard 4x4 wooden posts. I had to macgyver something to add extra width inside the housing. I would recommend though.

Love, love these lights ! Bought 2 last year to put by the steps by the deck & they didn’t get yellow like some plastic does, so I bought 14 more for around the pool . Love how it looks ! Nice & bright !

White solar caps.
Surprised as to the large size of these caps. I live in a winter environment right now with very little sun, and they still produce light for a few hours after dark. The light along my staircase is better that I expected. The caps are very attractive, and I would highly recommend.

We put new Fiberon PVC Deluxe railing on our porch, and 2 of these Classy Caps on the two posts at the bottom of the stairs. I really love them. Pics attached of the railing and caps during the day, and at night.
