I would highly recommend this fixture to anyone looking to brighten up a basement, shop, or laundry room. We're in the process of switching all of our fluorescent lights over to LEDs and this was the easiest way to throw a lot of bright light that we've found. Installation was a breeze. From the time I opened the box it took less than fifteen minutes to have this light mounted to the ceiling and wired. The light is very narrow and has a fairly low profile so it tucked up out of the way in our basement, which was nice. The best feature of this fixture is just how much bright light this puts out. I bought a pair of these but just one would've been enough to light our entire basement. The only issue I've had is a very minor one, that it takes about 1/2 second from the time you flip the switch until the light comes on. I got used to this quickly and couldn't be happier with this fixture

Even if you're not looking for a vapor-tight light fixture, this should be considered. It is very easy to install, but keep in mind it does not contain it's own switch - it will have to be wired into a switched circuit. The lamp is very bright, turns on instantly even in freezing weather, and doesn't hum like normal flourescent bulbs/ballasts. The best part is that this lamp seals out everything, so you don't have to worry about cleaning out bugs, dust, or debris.

I used this fixture for indirect lighting in my home. I installed it on an over the window shelf, pointing it up toward the 18' cathedral ceiling. The installation was easy. The lens cover is held in place with 10 snap down clamps. Following directions, I released the clamps & opened the lens cover. The LED's on the fixture plate are now exposed. I turned two twist locks located on the plate. I lifted the plate exposing the junction box, with the wiring connections. I installed the included cord grip at the end of the fixture, then guided my 14 gauge house wire through it. The fixture has an orange connector attached to the black & white power wires. I had no orange connector to plug into there special connector, so I cut off their connector, stripped their wires & attached my house wires with wire nuts. I wrapped electrical tape around each wire nut connection. I reinstalled the fixture junction box cover, fixture plate, & lens cover. The clean, bright, white light is many times brighter than a standard 4' fluorescent fixture with two bulbs. The box included hardware, if you wanted to hang the fixture from the ceiling. This a great light fixture that claims 5000 hours of use.

The fixture has more of an industrial look but the housing is well sealed. The clips open easily and two of them stay attached to the lens so if you open it when it is installed it will hang there instead of falling off. The light needs to be hard wired in so check with your local building codes to make sure it is installed properly. The light is quite bright so I use it when I need to see what I am doing and just use accent light when we are hanging out in the yard. I like it enough that I am going to install another above my garage door so I can work out there when I need.

This vapor tight light is very bright, especially considering the low wattage it consumes. It does not come with a power cord or a switch. It is meant to be hard wired into a switched circuit. The wire connector inside the light is an orange connector, so you will need to pick up one of those when you purchase the light. The brackets that hold the light are very easy to install and have a little bit of ability to be adjusted which is nice. The light is a very white, bright light. The light turns on quick and doesn't have a hum like my florescent bulbs.
