Package damaged screw container busted upon delivery. Missing some screws and screws sticking out of cardboard box

I've been using these screws for nearly a decade and the latest design CRAP! After the first screw snapped off at the head (never ever had this happen with the old design) I turned my torque setting lower than normal. Still, one after the other snapped off. I've probably driven a 1000 of the old design but it looks like Home Depot allowed for inferior materials and less of them. If you set an "old yellow" screw next to the "new tan" you can see the new design is thinner and more brittle.

I used these for building a wood fence, which may not have been what these screws were intended for, but they worked great. I expect they will hold better than the nails did on the previous fence. These screws self tapped and screwed in easily and i especially liked the torx bit screw head over the usual Phillips head found on wood screws.

I used this screws for my fence and they work great,If I ever need to replace anything I'll just unscrew it.

Great for pulling up a new fence.

My prefers brand for all outdoor wood projects. Will not strip holds tight and resist rust

Best screws i have used. No striping with the star head. No wood splitting and looks great with the lighter woods.

Drive well and hold up to impact driver

I use (now used) these screws a lot! I own a construction company, and these have been my go to screws for years. Well, this is no longer the case. I ran out last evening of this particular size, and ran to Home Depot first thing this morning to grab more. I noticed that it said new design, but thought nothing of it. Big Mistake! I am attaching a photo of the old design and the new. Old is on the left and new is on the right. I just used all 5 pounds of the box, and created more work from using these than i had to begin with.

I use these screws for installing 5/8 wood picket for fence love the head on these screws, I just wish you could have 25lb boxs.

These screws work great for finishing up my fence.

Strong and holds well.

Worst screws ever. They don't want to start so the impact slips off and they go flying. They also strip out way too easily. Never thought a screw could be bad. We will never buy this brand again.

These screws are not made precisely. They slip off of the star bit. Bit won’t even stay in 1 out of 15 Brand from Ace works much better.

For fence slats, reinforcing to stringers.
