Amazing blade so far
I had to cut the track/rail for a chair lift. It’s 1/8”-3/16” thick with a 1/4” thick bar in the middle along with a 1/2” thick gear rail. It cut through effortlessly and there were only a few sparks when I hit the thickest part. Simply amazing.

    Gets the job done
I have a safe with a damaged tubular lock. After punching out the lock, the only option was to cut the door and pull the pins from the inside. All in all I was inside in 3 minutes!

      Excellent performance if used correctly
I got the 6 1/2" 48-tooth version for my ancient Skil 6 1/2" worm-drive saw. Cut 14ga, 1/8", and 3/16" steel treadplate. Total cut was about 12', and I used a cutting guide. Firm, straight pressure makes a beautiful, straight, accurate cut. Make sure to mount for correct rotation.

I cut 3/8 mill plate easily! It would be nice if it had ananother color in the middle so it looked diffent then the other diablo blades.

I used this blade to cut 3/8 inch mild steel with my circular saw. I was very impressed with the way it cut through steel as easily as if it were wood. Very true cuts with very little in the way of ragged edges left behind. I highly recommend the Diablo for cutting mild steel.

          Success Under Harsh Conditions
I bought this blade as an experiment. I need to section up a piece of 2” thick mild steel and figured I would give this a shot to see how far it gets. Using it in a 2.5HP Skil saw I was able to get 3” or 4” into the cut before it started losing traction. Considering it is billed as a blade for 1/4” thick steel I’d say it was a good success. Once the blade cools down I’ll give it another go.

I used the metal blade to shorten the legs of 3 stainless steel tables for my food truck. It cut through them like butter!

Does the job but didn't last as long as expected
I bought this blade yesterday to cut down a piece of galvanized 1/4" thick steel diamond plate. The total cut length I needed to make was 19ft (3x6ft cuts and a 1x1ft cut). It cut well for the first 8ft or so, after that progress started to noticeably slow down. I stopped at 14ft total cut length as not only did progress become painfully slow but the blade started pulling to the right. Visual inspection of the blade at that point revealed that one tooth had lost its tip (see photo). So I'll need to buy another blade to finish this job. The chips are hot and sharp, glad I wore my welding leathers ! I have not used any other brand of steel cutting circular saw blade so I cannot comment on how its durability compares, but I was surprised to need a second blade to complete this job. However, it is the one steel cutting blade that Home Depot stores stock, it did get that job done (all be it with having to purchase a second blade) and the cut edge was more presentable than if I'd used an abrasive blade or sawzall. So on that basis I recommend it. I hope the above info will give others an idea of what performance to expect.

Clean cut, quicker than abrasive wheel
I was using a standard abrasive cut off wheel and it is so slow with wide, rough cuts. The D0748CFA is amazing! it cut smooth with little effort. I moved the blade through .125 1.5" square tubing slow and steady and it worked perfectly. I did not know a saw blade could cut metal like it cuts wood. I will never go back. also did 45 deg cuts smooth edge for quick an easy welding. Making a railing. This is the blade to use!

                My Favorite Blade
This is my favorite saw blade of all my blades. I cut a lot of steel for different projects and this blade just amazes me every time I use it. This thing cuts through 1/8" steel like a regular blade through pine wood. Its amazing!!! I've used this blade on my Shopsmith table saw (works great), on my Skill circular saw (works great) and even with my work drive circular saw where it works great! I'm actually on my 3rd one of these now because I get SO much use out of them, but I've also been using them for years now. DO use safety goggles though as these do tend to make a lot of hot metal shavings that like to go flying towards your face.

It lost teeth within the first day when cutting 25 gauge galvanized steel studs. Very poor product in my opinion. I have had it 2 days so far and cutting performance is drastically reduced.

Clean cut. Better than the original blade. I will buy another in the future. Let's see how long it'll keep its edge.

                Great blade but grinder better
I love the blade. Worked great and the circular saw is awesome for compound cuts and straight cuts and tons of power. But the saw would grab and yank like circular saws do when cutting diagonal. Little more scary with Steel. I found my 7” grinder with 1/16” disks was quicker, less waste and safer.

                Just buy one
Ripped a 3/16" square tube about 8' long on both sides. Cut it like a peice of wood, pure witch craft. Looks like it was cut on a water jet. Game changer for the home gamer. Just be aware it throws chips everywhere.
