Loved this brush for applying wax to my table. The round brush made it easy to butter the tip with wax. I used less wax as a result, and still got great coverage.

Hair falls while painting
I thought I paid a lot for quality brush. It’s terrible how much I paid versus the quality. This is my first review on HD and I thought I must share. Zibra brushes are superior than this one!!!!

    Do not buy!
I bought this to use to seal my white cabinets and it is horrible! Bristles fall out with every stroke!

I'm applying finishing wax to pine doors. I wish the bristles were just a bit shorter/stiffer, but it works well enough. Too soft and it becomes a pain to pick up wax from the can.

Be Ready To Pick Bristles From Your Project
I bought this brush to apply Decoart wax to a table. However, with each dip into the wax, I had bristles coming out of the brush. Unfortunately I had to try and pick the bristles from my freshly waxed table as a result. Nice long handle and sleek design, but that doesn’t matter when your project takes twice as long to complete. Price too high for the quality, so I returned it.

Total crap. On the first stroke, the brush broke away from the handle. Bristles everywhere. Not worth the $$$. Buy a high quality brush, not this one.

          Save your hand
This brush holds up ok but the design of the brush hurts your hand the entire application of the waxing process . It's impossible to hold the brush without cramping your hand around the metal base, it's aweful. Going to purchase another style of the wax brush for my next project.

            Excellent product.
This brush works very, very well for large pieces. It was purchased to use to wax a dresser and it performed beautifully. Too large to use for small pieces of furniture. It helped get the wax into all the cracks and crevices so it has that aged antique look. Would definitely recommend purchase.

            Just what I needed!
Easy to use and clean. I used it with Annie Sloan wax and cleaned with dawn dish detergent

            Not quality expected
For a rather expensive brush, it continued to loose bristles with almost every stroke. I expected better as this was the only brush of its kind that HD offers. I figured they tried it and that it was up to snuff. Nope. I think I should have ordered an Annie Sloan brush. Not that much more expensive.

              Recommended with reservations
The brush is a good size for my project and picks up wax well. But it sheds bristles as it spreads wax. Maybe that's unavoidable, I don't know but I would like a brush that didn't shed into my project.

              worst brush I've used.
The bristles kept falling out and sticking all over my cabinet. Trying to pick them off just messed up the finish. If your doing a small project use a cloth. If your doing a large piece of furniture bite the bullet and buy a good brush.

                great waxing brush
This was a pricey investment but I'm glad I have it. There are some stray bristles that fall out while waxing but they are easy to sweep away from the surface. Note of caution....while you can use clear and dark waxes without having to clean the brush for each one, definitely wash the brush as soon as you have finished. I let it sit overnight and it got very stiff - thought I had ruined it! A good soak in hot, soapy water restored it, but I won't make that mistake again!

                Not necessary
I thought that the brush was necessary to apply the cream wax but it isn't. The direction say to use either a rag or a round brush. The brush itself was rather stiff and didn't have much give when applying the wax. Also, the first time I used it, bristles came off and had to be picked out of the wet wax.

                American Decor Waxing Brush
i used the brush to apply liquid wax to a piece I painted with chalk paint. The brush was excellent. for getting the wax into tiny crevices and max overall waxing easy to apply. I would recommend this brush to anyone using liquid wax.

                Excellent brush
This brush is just as good as the Annie Sloan and half the price. I highly recommend it for chalk painting and waxing furniture.

Bristles come out even after being washed a few time. Very irritating.

                    Not a good idea
I used this brush one time only and it had to go in the trash. It sheds badly!!! It took me while to pick up the hairs by hand off the painted furniture, and I had to redo it over with a different brush.

Great brush, just needs TLC before the project.
My experience with natural bristle brushes is that they need some advance prep. I always thoroughly wash and soak my brushes over night before I use them for the first time. That minimizes the strays which you will always have a few to watch for until your brush is really broken in. I have used various brands and am very pleased with this brush and its performance.

                      Waste of Money
This brush is awful. I am constantly picking out the bristles while using it to wax. It basically ruined the project I just painted because by the time I got the all the bristles that fell out of the brush out of the paint, I had chipped the paint underneath. Now I need to repaint because it looks so bad and all because the brush is useless. Do NOT waste your money!

                      Use a cloth instead!
This is way too expensive. I bought one of the pricey famous wax (MB) for my chalk painted project, and the instructions stated that no special brush was necessary, just to use a brush or a cloth to apply the wax. So I used one of my son's old T-shirts which worked beautifully and cost me ZERO.

                      Brush hairs kept coming out
Don't you just hate it when you are working in the finish coat and the brush sheds like a husky dog in Florida in the summer. I was a bit dismayed

this product was very poor quality!
Bristles came out so much...it was very annoying to have to stop n pick bristles off my project....I think I could have bought one at a dollar store that worked better!

                      Horrible product
Brush has to have a flaw in design! Applied chalk paint to my piece and then began applying the clear wax. To my disgust brush bristles were all over my new project. Had to reapply paint in some areas where the bristles had stuck. Returning product to Home Depot!
