I painted and crackled 2 shelves. A bit of a learning curve so I would definitely reccomend practicing first. Crackle was easy to use, just thoroughly read all the directions. This is what I did.. 1) Rustoleum primed with a spray paint 2) charcoal chalk spray paint 3) crackle (allow to dry) 4) Top coat "Chiffon cream" chalk paint ( be generous with the amount of paint) 5) Polyurethane It came out beautiful!

This product does work. I have made and painted two clocks. You must use a dark paint first let it dry. Then add the crackle paint of a ligher color in short strokes. When dry it has cracked.

I tried different methods. I followed the instructions, I watched videos! I could not get it to crackle! I finally found a Michael’s in Houston that had another brand and finally got crackle!

It didn’t work; it maybe looked distressed in a couple corners & only a tiny piece at best.

I wish I had taken the first reviewers advice. This product DOES NOT WORK! Do not waste your time or money. Not one crack to be found!

I purchased this product hoping to have a "crackle" finish on the items I'm painting. I have tried it over several different surfaces and paints including Americana Decor chalk paints, no crackle . I'm tried it over different types of surfaces, no crackle. I followed the directions on the jar each time with no luck. Not a happy camper, a lot of work to not get a good finished product.
