We were happy to finally find a Wi-Fi thermostat that didn't set off our furnace every 10 minutes. We also like that I can schedule heat and cooing times but it doesn't track me. There were too many people in our house for one thermostat that we bought that shut off when I left and turned on as I was getting closer to home. It starts the furnace with a 1 degree differential. This saved our older furnace and allows me to control the temp with an ap on my phone. Very pleased with the purchase. We have been using it for about a month now.

Wonderful gadget ..... Installation was easy I had a few problems, but nothing that a phone call would not take care of ....I would definitely recommend ....I’m using my iPad for programming and control of my thermostat which I really enjoy.... Great price also especially when you get a $50 rebate....

This is an excellent Thermostat with simple installation instruction. The App for the product works very well with clear step by step updates.

Easy to install and run of your phone. 1. Install/connect the 4 wires on wall. 2. Obtain pin through initial install of thermostat. 3. Install on phone (this will walk you through rest of install) 4. Phone app will need pin from thermostat. 5. Your done. Control your thermostat from anywhere via Internet connection. Loving it.

Product support is nonexistent. I bought two of the Sensi Touch Wi-fi Thermostats installed them to only find out they would not turn on the heat. Call Customer Support and was on hold for over 3 hours. When I did finally get to talk to someone, they sent me an email link. They wanted pictures. I sent 4 pictures and this following detail description of the problem. Two days later and I am still waiting for an answer. I installed both Sensi thermostats on Saturday and had to uninstalled them and reinstalled the Honeywell thermostats on Sunday because I was getting zero heat out of both furnaces. The Honeywell Thermostats are Model RTH8580WF-1007. The fans run turning off and on as the thermostats call for heat or were turned off or to a lower setting. The York Gas furnaces are Model G8C/GF8 installed in 2004 The heat cycle operation sequence is thermostat calls for heat, A circulanting fact turns on to provide the proper amount of combustion air, a pressure switch closes, causing a 17 second warm-up period before the gas valve opens. This cycle is missing in action when the Sensi thermostats are wired C, G, Y, O/B, R to the RC/RH terminals. From the time the thermostat calls for heat until the fan turns on is approximately 30 to 45 seconds. The Sensi thermostat turn the fan on the second the stat calls for heat..

Very easy to install, I can watch my Florida home's a/c and heat while I am in Colorado! Love it!

This thermostat is very easy to install. Was up and running in less than 20 mins. Compatible with alexa. I like being able to tell alexa to adjust the tempm either up or down. Turn on the heat or the ac. The only thing i do not like about this thermo is there is no filter change reminderr. Thats ok though. Had product for 1 month completly meets expectations.

Unit works great my AC system runs 200% better than ever

Simple to install, smooth touch-screen operation. Modern translucent and piano black face. Backlight 'glow' at edge where it mounts to the wall is pretty cool (have option to turn glow light on and off). May need to touch up wall with some paint after removing old t-stat, since actual mounting surface is quite small (has a tapered shape - mounting surface is not as big as face). Setup was easy, with step-by-step instructions. Simple to operate. Phone app is nice. Thermostat seems quite accurate also.

What a great thermostat and great support. I've purchased 2 units and the GeoFencing feature alone will pay for this thermostat. But the support bu the OEM is why you need to purchase this fantastic tool. Simple to use: Yes Easy to install: Yes Great support: Absolutely I can not recommend enough this product.

Easy to follow instructions for installation even though I needed to install a jump wire on my heater. Everything worked as stated and I love the iPhone interface. I purchased two of these and really like their look and functionality.

It was very easy to install. (The extra holes in the picture was because of something else I had installed previously in this spot.) It took maybe five minutes. Setup was just as easy. My wife and I are always at each other about how cold or hot it is in the house. She likes it cold and I prefer it warmer. We were constantly getting up to check what the temperature was in the house. We no longer have a feud over the thermostat. Best of all we can control it while we are away from the house and before we return to the house. It was a little pricey; however, I think the savings in the long run will outweigh the cost. It's great.

Very nice and large display. Easy to hook up with their on line instructions. Fun to look at and change temperature remotely even when you are in Florida and home is in Ohio!

My Sensi touch that i got only a couple weeks ago suddenly started reading the temp at 99° while the room temp was closer 60°. The worst part is we were out of town while this happened and my parents were watching our kids and dogs for us. There was zero help from technical support. The master reset didnt work. I even had my parents remove the face and leave it off for a half an hour which seem to help for about 15 minutes before returning to 99°. Again the temp in the house was not 99°. Luckily i had inly the heat turned in or the AC would have kicked on cooling the house and likely damage my ac unit. The outside temp was below 32° and was expected to reach the low teens that night. This product and lack of technical support isnt worth the risk. Not sure if i was the only lucky one to have this issue but the email support said they had a higher then normal contact volume and response maybe delayed. Clearly they’re having issues with their products.

doesn't work very much if you wish to control remotely

So easy to install, if you pay attention. Nothing better than sitting in the living room, watching tv and feeling a chill... just pick my phone and turn on the heat. Very nice!

Let me start by saying i am not affiliated with or reviewing anything for this review. Here goes. Great thermostat. I like it more than my brother's Nest. It's display is great and the touch is very responsive. Using the app to adjust the temperature only takes about 3 -5 second delay, so very fast. I did not have a C wire already ran, so i called the Sensi customer care#. They were super fast and helpful and told me what i needed and walked me through hooking it all up. Overall, great product and amazing customer care.

Was easy to install once you down load the instructions. It's programmable and can be charged while away or laying in bed. It was smaller than my last one so I will need to touch up the paint around it. The app screen shows orange when the heat is being used. Have not used the air yet.

I would have given 5-stars, but had to return the first unit due to a horizontal line appearing on the display approximately 22 hours after installation. Finding no other reviews with this issue I decided to try one more time. Second unit has been in place for a few days and no troubles. I really like the simplistic installation and the air circulation feature.

We have had 4 of these in our office for approx. 2 weeks and they are working very well. We had one base unit that was defective but Home Depot's customer service replaced it without issue. Setting up the app was simple, although it did take a little longer than I had thought. I had to factory reset a few of the thermostats before they would connect to the wifi network. I really like the fact that I can monitor the temperature of the office while I am away from the office. I have also been able to setup schedules so that the office should be comfortable during Business Hours and then the temps will drop during Non-Business Hours. We bought at the recommendation of our HVAC installer for commercial installs.

Excellent Thermostat Replaced a 20 year old thermostat. Tired of going up and down the stairs to adjust the temperature. Old thermostat did not use a “c” wire. Setup is thru the Sensi app. The app guided me thru finding and installing the “c” wire in the wall and in the furnace. The “c” wire is needed to power the unit and Wi-Fi. Setup could not be easier. The app gives you written instructions and video. Total time was an hour including install and setting up schedules for Heat, AC and Vacation. No buttons to push just touch the screen or your device for info or changes. Display is big and can be read from down the hall. It changes color for heat (orange), AC (blue) and Standby (grey). It also has a night lit for background. Now I can adjust the temperature and/or change schedules from my chair downstairs or anywhere in the world from my IPad.

Seems and feels pretty nice but after 5 days of install it went Coo coo, not response to touch on the screen,was not able to pair with my netgear wi-fi router. so I had to return it :(

This is a very smart little thermostat and relatively easy to program and use. It has many features although you dont have to use them all. I like that I can program it on the app and when coming home on vacation, I can change the temperature while in the car. If you forget to set the thermostat before vacation, you can do it from the other side of the world. You can hook multiple thermostats up to the app. The design is user-friendly, both the app and thermostat. The installation on the app makes it easy. My installation was a bit tricky because my "common" wire wasn't hooked up from the furnace/air handler. The common wire provides the thermostat with constant power as it does not take batteries. Once powered up, I was easily able to make my schedule. The app also lets you hook the thermostat up to Siri, adjust the temperature if the thermostat is in a warm/cold spot and slow on/off cycles to extend the life of your AC/furnace. You can also program it to warm/cool over longer periods so you dont have such noticeable temperature spikes and drops. There is also a beta version location feature which if your phone is three or more miles from the house it will drop +/- 3 degrees. The touch-screen is nice and the thermostat is two pieces. One piece is attached the wall, the other is the touchscreen which clicks into the wall-mounted piece. OF NOTE! After setting everything up, I removed the face to take a picture then re-attached it. Afterwards the thermostat was not on WiFi and I essentially had to reinstall it. For my installation, my previous thermostat took a newer four wire cable but my 1950s home also had the original 3 wire cable in the wall. What I did was run the common wire off the old 3 wire, using one of the wires. The common wire coming off the furnace/air handler was not wired as well so I had to open it up, splice the wire and screw it into the "COM" terminal. I then pig tailed the common wire from the furnace to one of the old wires in the 3-wire. Then the thermostat powered up! The app will walk you through which wire is which and where to put it. Very easy. The wall-mounted portion of the thermostat has a built-in level which I found very handy. I had to do some drywall repair as this thermostat showed an unsightly area from previous installs.

Easy replacement for nearly any style of thermostat. I had the original Sensi installed upstairs and the Sensi Touch Black installed downstairs and have been extremely pleased with the products. I decided to upgrade to the newer Sensi Touch in white on the second floor of my home. Compared to the original Sensi, the Sensi Touch adds a number of new features. The base is smaller, has some sort of integrated power instead of requiring batteries, has a much better connection system for the wires (push in instead of screw down) and includes an integrated LED that lights up the base to make it easier to see as you connect the wires. I appreciated the design choice to keep the mounting holes in identical locations as the original base which simplified the install. Moving to the thermostat itself, the new model is also smaller than the old model and features a color touch screen which brings with it a number of enhancements. I can now see my current schedule on the screen so I can tell when temperatures will change based on schedule. The display changes colors depending on mode (grey for not active, blue for cooling and red for heating). When not in active use it goes into sleep mode (this can be disabled by a menu setting) which lowers the display brightness and only shows the current temperature. Overriding current schedule temperature is easy with a simple tap of the screen to set the temp you would like. The menu provides additional options like Sleep mode, Nightlight (turns on the base LED), Wi-Fi setup, Equipment setup and schedule programming. That last option is an upgrade over the old model. With the original Sensi you could only perform schedule changes from the smart phone app. With this model you can disable Wi-Fi on the thermostat and then use the touch screen to setup your schedule. Installation is super simple. The app asks you to select the thermostat model you purchased then it walks you through a step by step process including pictures of replacing your existing thermostat. It even lets you take a picture in app of the existing wiring for reference. Before you disconnect any wires it has you identify the connections in use and then tells you if the Sensi is compatible with your system. Assuming it is compatible, it walks you through labeling the wires with included stickers because the Sensi connections might differ from your existing. You are then guided to turn off the power, disconnect wires, remove old thermostat, install base, connect wires, install thermostat, restore power and setup your Wi-Fi connection. After that you can setup scheduling if you like. If you have basic DIY skills, you can install this product on your own with the guidance of the app. More importantly, you can download the app for free before you buy the Sensi and walk through the beginning setup steps to determine compatibility with your system. One thing to note, heed the warning and actually turn off the power to your furnace (the furnace powers the thermostat not you A/C compressor which is a different breaker). If power is on when you work on the wiring, you can easily short the wires. It may produce a small spark but the damage that will do to your system can be tremendous, especially on older systems that are not fuse protected, you can blow out the control board and transformer which can cost hundreds of dollars to replace. The Sensi Touch is compatible with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Echo and Wink smart home platforms. It also includes an optional GeoFencing programming mode where the thermostat will automatically adjust the temperature by 4 degrees when it detects your phone has left the house. Where the product could be improved? I think an option to display the time instead of temp or time and temp together on the sleep screen would be helpful. I also think the sleep screen could be enhanced with set temp as well as current temp. Finally, I think setup could be improved by allowing one to transfer schedules from the old thermostat into the new thermostat (assuming they are both Sensi models). Unfortunately, once a Sensi thermostat is removed from power/Wi-Fi, the app is unable to display any data about it. This doesn’t apply to most installs but for the few of us that upgrade to newer Sensi models it would be a huge help.

So far, so great! If you're a good DYI-er, you can install this yourself easily. The instructions are great. Download the app on your smartphone or device (iphone, Android), and then follow the setup /installation instructions. Overall, it took me about a half hour to install it. Detailed instructions guide you through the process, plus there are videos available if needed. The thermostat in general works great. It is very sensitive to temp changes and starts/stops the A/C efficiently. I can tell it takes into account humidity as well - which is great. 78° with humidity at 60% * feels* much warmer than 78° with 30% humidity. The touch display is beautiful, has a sleek design and reacts quickly when making settings/adjustments. There is an LED back light that can be turned on or off which aids in viewing at night time or in low-lit areas. This is installed in our hallway, which can get a bit dark in the evening. The app is great. easy to use, I can quickly monitor or make changes to the temp or settings wherever I am. Helps if my teenagers are home alone and trying to crank the AC when I'm not there. I can override them. ; ) Very happy with this model.

A digital upgrade from a contractor installed original mercury rocker thermostat. Installation was simple and took about forty-five minutes. The installation process said to turn off the power (breaker or switch at the furnace). In my case I have two breakers, one for the large A/C unit outside and another one for the furnace (inside the garage). I'm not sure if both breakers provide power to the thermostat, but to be safe, I switched both off. All I was looking for is a digital thermostat with an app that allows me to make changes without having to do it at the thermostat itself. Basically, I leave it alone 99 percent of the time. The touchscreen is responsive and intuitive. As far as home integration, I don't have any requirement for it, so can't comment on it. I have no interest in constantly changing the temperature of my house, but I do like the easy to read, digital readout and touchscreen display with a comfortable backlit screen.

Total junk. Been on the phone for 2 days 7 different times with tech support. After install of the thermostat I would have random lack of ac cooling. They tried to tell me it was my ac unit. I hooked up old non smart thermostat and works perfectly. Disappointing because it looked nice. Back to home depot to return.

Like anything else, I guess I am so pleased with my Sensi because I was so frustrated with my old "programmable" thermostat! The Sensi is easy to set up, easy to program, easy to CHANGE the program, and has an AUTOMATIC setting to switch from A/C to heat as needed. In a climate with dramatic swings from day-to-day or day-to-night this is a huge bonus. No more going to sleep in a room that is too hot and waking up to find the rest of the house too cold. Now I can set the temperature so it is comfortably cool while I sleep and warmed up by the time I get out of bed. The fact that I can use my phone to control it remotely is nice too. I haven't found the connection to Alexa very helpful, other than to tell me what temperature Sensi is showing. I am a senior citizen with basic wiring experience and I installed it easily by watching the video, including adding the c-wire kit. There is nothing about it I don't like.
