We have in our living room 6 recessed ceiling lights and the old ones we could see the light coming out from the sides so decided to upgrade to these. First of all they were easy to install, just like changing a light bulb screw off the old bulb and took off the trim and screwed in the wire with the other end just attached to the trim and light. I have 20 in the master bedroom and they did not take long to change as well. Overall they are warm white and very bright. We really enjoy that they are dimmable since I do not always want the room to be super bright all the time. Another great feature is that the trim itself is easy to change from one color to other 3, this is awesome just in case we paint in the future and the trim is easy to change from white, to bronze to brushed nickel. Best of all they are of great value, and well made.

This 4" Brushed Nickel LED Light with integrated trim is actually a retrofit device for installed 4" Lights, not the standard 6" Lights that most contractors use when putting them in the ceiling. They have about a 65 Watt equivalent which it says is 632 Lumens. If you are looking for a retrofit that just screws into the socket of the regular light then this is your Light. It has a plug that can be disconnected and hard wired if you'd rather, but the screw end is like that on a light bulb and easily fits into the socket. It's price is a lot higher than an LED Light bulb so if you want the extra trim which is very nice, you can order this type light at a little higher cost. It does close off the socket and make a better finished off look than just a light bulb.

Description: The lights will work by screw-in socket adapter or quick-connect cable end. These lights are approved for damp or dry areas. They have magnetic trim rings for easy replacement. (This product is discontinued, according to the Home Depot web site. However, they do appear to sell something similar individually, but it is hard to tell.) Usage: While the lights are good, finding matching cans at a good price was impossible. All recessed can lights are expensive and I only would recommend such lights if absolutely needed. We found these lights to output a wide flood pattern. They have good dispersion and brightness. The light is easy to connect when using the simple end connector. Very convenient. The trim rings are attractive with their brushed nickel finish, and well fit many of today's interior color schemes. Being able to attach a different trim ring quickly and easily is a plus for those who wish to change their decor. Overall Thoughts: I rate these as a good light fixture.

Design, material, craftsmanship looks great. We'll see how well they perform & how long they last.

These ceiling lamps are great. They do need to be installed in a 4 inch housing. The trim can be changed at any time if you want to do a easy redecoration. You can also just remove the trim if you are repainting the ceiling, no need to mask.They are rated for wet locations. I installed one in my bathroom in the middle of the ceiling over my tub/shower. The fixtures are rated to last for over 30 tears meaning that you will probably never need to replace one like you would need to a light bulb. These fixtures are dimmable also. They fight tight so no light shows around the fixture, giving a well finished look. The LEDs will save money over the 30 years.

One of the easiest lights to install. I love the easy directions for the lights. They are really lightweight and easy to install with the directions supplied. Once everything was installed the lights worked great. I used a newly installed dimmer which worked great with the lights. The time spent installing seemed to go very fast due to the lightness and the ease of the directions. thank you,

These are the best lights for 4 inch recessed lighting. Nice and bright but with a softness on your eyes. Your eyes will not grow fatigued like with normal fluorescent. These are a great option for kitchen lighting (just my opinion) and really push shadows out of a space. I love the fact that there is almost no chance for them to need to be replaced. (I have not had any issues with LED burnout yet.) This is just the light and NOT the recessed fixture.

Modern Brushed Nickel 4" LED Canned Lights. These lights have good weight and solid feel. The frame is aluminum or something similar - most likely a good heat sink. The fixtures are held in place with stainless steel tensioni clips vs springs. On the back of the fixture is a fairly large and thick circuit inside of a white plastic cover. Wiring is easy. If you have existing fixtures, most likely you'll be able to connect the orange connector, but if you need the socket adapter, the light comes with one. This light is different from other LED canned lights. The bezel is made of steel and is finished in brushed nickel. When the light is installed, the bezel can be pulled down and replaced with a different color bezel. The light has a domed lens, which gives it a quality look and imitates a regular light bulb. The light is very bright (632 lumens), has good color rendering (3000k) and it works with a dimmer. These lights look great, have a quality feel and are energy efficient. I highly recommend these lights.
