We have a light box that is recessed in the ceiling and trimmed with wood to a size that , at one time, hold an acrylic lens. For some reason, I have had to battle to get the lens to stay put. I did not want to re-trim the box so an idea hit me to use aluminum angle with double sided tape on the inside of the box giving me a larger lip to hold the lens. Bingo, bango, bongo, one cut into two pieces and done. Fixed and my future first ex wife is happy.

Works great to replace middle part of door jam.

Being aluminum it was a bit pricey, but it was light-weight and rigid which was perfect for the intended project.

The aluminum angle bar was easy to cut to length, drill, and shape to fit the area I needed. At the same time it is resistant to bending or warping under a load, staying straight with a reasonable weight resting upon it for long periods. I failed to inspect the aluminum adequately before purchase, as I did not notice the gouges and marks in the otherwise flat surface. This required me to perform a lot of extra sanding to eliminate and reduce the imperfections prior to priming and painting.

Excellent product in terms of quality and workmanship and did exactly what it supposed to do.
