This vent cover fits the solar vent fan opening perfectly.

Screws are covered in paint and when I went to mount the cover, my drill wouldnt let go of the screws and ruined the drywall. Crappy product forcing me to do more work.

It fits perfectly in this house that was constructed in the 1960s. Im glad Home Depot came through and actually had it.

I could only find this one that was the right size. The slats are too wide making it easy to see behind the registers. So why have a register if it doesn't obscure the duct behind it. Especially a return register sitting high on the wall.

Grate fit perfectly and the finish was outstanding. Yes I would recommend this product

Removed existing A/C grill and replaced with this 24in x 24in grill of which fit perfectly over the opening. A/C was changed out so this opening only acts as an air intake so no filters needed to be installed so only needed a grill to cover up the existing opening. Appearance is really nice. Easy to install. Recommend.

I'm taking away a star because of fit. While 16"X10" is the correct size, these grilles do NOT lay flat against the wall. The ones I replaced had four screws. The Everbilt only has two screws. Because there are only two screws, the grille does not lay tight against the wall. I will need to use calk to seal them against the wall. The color is nice.

No idea how old the previous one was, but it had several coats of paint on it, and looked bad. The paint had to be impeding the airflow as well. These are the exact same size, screwed right in the same holes, and look great!

Air grill looks good. Easy to install. Ours is in our back door because the air inlet is in the laundry room so we needed the right size and look for the door before painting.

The new grille fit perfectly and looks great. Thank you.

Made 2 radiator covers. one for the living room the other for the bedroom. What a difference.

These vents were a great price and just what we needed!

This did the job along with several other sizes that were stocked in the local store. We had an issue with not enough air flow, too much back pressure with existing register vents, these "Return Air Grilles" allowed more air flow.

Item works as described and includes the needed screws. Picture is the before.

I've, been waiting on this items.. I, bought the 8x8 adjustable vent return, and for some reason,, I'm not getting the heat/air for from the vent , because of blockage.. Since, I replace it , with this model.. I'm getting , the heat/air blowing as it suppose too... My fault... I, just bought the wrong grille to start with... Kevin A,

The cover we received did not match the picture of the vent cover on Home Depot's website. The design is different with sharper slats and an ugly arrow type design on the vertical bars. Disappointed in the misleading photos. We ordered two different sizes and both were the same--different than pictured online. Take a look in store before you buy this because it was not the same clean, simple design we wanted and expected. Disappointed in Home Depot on this one.

The air return cover we received didn't match the product description and picture on the website. The design is much uglier (with sharp arrow designs on the vertical slats and sharper angled horizontal bars) than the simple and clean design we bought. I would definitely look at this in store before buying it. We bought two different sizes of this cover online and both were different than pictured on Home Depot's website. Very disappointed.

This return air grille is very well manufactured. The metal has been precision cut or stamped leaving clean edges and perfectly smooth surfaces. The paint finish is very nice, and it can be painted to match surrounding colors. The kit comes with clear instructions for installation and includes sturdy screws that are color-matched to blend away against the grille. This product will provide a nice look in any room.

This return air grille is paintable so you can paint it to match your walls or ceiling. Make sure to buy the right size for your opening. There has to be substrate to screw in the screws that hold the grille plate to the drywall. This one is 8" x 6" so it is for a small opening. The freshness of a new grill plate can really make the wall or ceiling return look like new.

Once you finish painting a room and step back to admire your work :), you notice your air vents look old and dingy. I have been replacing them as we paint. The Everbilt 8" by 6" air return is for sidewall or ceiling applications. Measure the opening not the grill. Since it is a air return, it comes without louvers to close, this would restrict air flow. Nice metal, no defects. Pick up some new white screws for installation (not included). The grill is paintable but I prefer clean white.

I am going to use as a transfer grill to allow air flow between rooms . This is a simple slotted cover , east to paint over, it serves its purpose. the size is a good fit . Keep in mind , this one picks up air from a downward direction for the best air flow, and keeps dust out.It does not have a damper to open or close so its always open. Came with 2 good size screws.

I got the Everbilt 8 in. x 6 in. White Powder Coat Return Air Grille as I was just looking at these not too long ago then got side tracked and did not get it then. This is made from a thin pressed steel sheet with a tough white finish. comes with 2 long mounting screws, has simple instructions on back of package, showing how to attach it to a wall with the included screws. I got this as I have built several tanks out of wood and would like to add some ventilation. I'm just not sure which one to add it to first, how ever it has occurred to me that I may need 2 for each enclosure I put it on. these are made of vary thin sheet metal and can be bent easily.

These are well made, however, I am not happy with the paint on them. I purchased a dozen of these; put one up and noticed that the paint was not consistent. I purchased more at another HD thinking that those would not have the same defect; all have the dark shadow across the middle.

Easy to install. Although I needed a 16×10, it was not available, but the 16×14 was ok because the builder grade opening was irregular to me anyway. The screws was too long, so I used smaller screws and it worked out well. However, it looks good.

It was as described and worked perfect. It included 4 long screws for mounting, but comes pre drilled with 6 holes. It really improved the looks of my hallway over the old nasty one that it replaced. Getting it through ship to store took longer than I think it should've have and will probably not go that route again. I definitely won't if I have a time sensitive item I need.

I purchased two white return air grilles in order to cover holes in the walls of two bathrooms where built-in heaters were removed. I drilled into the tile walls and used shorter screws than what came with the grilles to secure them. I then used white caulk along the edges of the grilles to give them a nice finished look. They look great.

I was skeptical about this grill, as I had found a similar product for $60.00, but was happily surprised that is was very nice and a great value.

Home Depot's great package got the grille here in good condition! And, the metal is sturdy, the paint job flawless. The grill openings let MUCH MORE AIR pass through which lets the fan motor use MUCH LESS ELECTRICITY to move the air and the house circulation is MUCH BETTER. Is this really true? Try it yourself. My old grill was way worse! Make sure you select a grill that has openings all the way over the opening going to your fan. My old one was about 1/2 inch too small. That was more air movement resistance right there! Yes I am nuts about the grill.
