I saw the Cafe product 3 years ago and fell in love with them. I knew that when it came time to upgrade by kitchen, this would be the product I wanted. Today, they are installed and my kitchen is gorgeous. I purchased them in white with copper pulls. I couldn't be happier with how easy they are to operate and use. Totally satisfied

Its appearance is great, it fits my kitchen space, it keeps the food cold, and the storage space is good for a two person household, but it's LOUD. If you want a companion, it will hum to you and if you like the outdoors, it makes the sound of crickets and the occasional owl. I waited a long time for a black refrigerator to fit my specifications, so I'm disappointed with my purchase, but don't know what I can do about it. I do not have a water hookup, so the noise is not coming from the ice maker or water dispenser. I inspected the unit before accepting it at time of delivery, but you can't inspect for noise until it's unpacked and plugged in. At that point, it's too late to decline it.

We just had our new refrigerator delivered. Beautiful looking model. We choose the counter top French Door with bottom freezer. Looks great in the kitchen and look forward to many years of enjoyment.

Poor air circulation and cooling monitoring design freezes food on the top shelf. This refrigerator looks great, but the design is just terrible. Drinks on the top shelf have exploded, leaving a massive mess on the bottom despite the temperator being set well above freezing.

This was the right counter depth fridge for the space in our kitchen. The aesthetic is 4 out of 5 stars but the sound is truly 1 out of 5 stars as it is very LOUD. Pass on this one if you can.

Love the easy open doors. The vegetable departments keeps my veggies very fresh.

I repeat, do not buy! I am on my 3rd fridge replacement. All of them have had the same issues: condensation inside fridge, condensation on outside of center flap (mullion) which drips into the lower freezer and onto floor, which causes frost buildup in freezer, freezer defrosts melting ice and spoiling food, ice maker isn’t sensing when full and keeps making ice causing more frost build up and whole ice bucket becoming one big clump of ice. GE will not give a refund. Hoping bbb can help w/them.

Well designed and surprisingly roomy for this style

Very nice looking refrigerator. Lots of space inside. Adjustable shelving is a plus. Fits the 33 inch space perfectly. Will take some time to get used to the inside water dispenser and I wish you could hold your cup up to the button to dispense the water. A little awkward holding cup with one hand and holding down button with the other on the inside wall of the refrigerator, but that is my only complaint.

It’s quiet, counter depth, which I wish was a little bit shorter by 2-3 inches:( has an alarm if I leave it open too long, and matches my other GE appliances. Waiting on my electric bill to see how efficient it is.

I like everything about this product except that, after one year of normal residential use, the freezer door handle cracked. And now, at two years, the motor board needs to be replaced. According to the repairman, the motor board supplies a current to the heater on the freezer defroster, and without that current, the freezer motor freezes up and will not defrost the freezer. This is a $500+ fix. Should not happen on a 2-year-old $2000 appliance. Also, I will never waste my money on an extended warranty through Home Depot again. It’s a joke. Tried to get the doorhandle replaced while it was still under warranty and could never get the service company scheduled.

It just what we were looking for with limited space. The only thing is it's kind of noise at times. I was told it's kind of humid weather so it has to work harder.

We purchased this fridge in 2021 and just over a year later (right when the warranty ends) it started having serious problems. The fridge will make extremely loud buzzing noises from the fan in the freezer. It’s been repaired once already and 7 months later it’s doing the exact same thing. GE seems to have produced a lemon which is sad to see.

We have owned this fridge for a little more than 2 years and have had ongoing issues with it continuing to make very loud noises. I’m not talking about typical noise you’d expect, but buzzing that can be heard several rooms away which makes it impossible to be in the same room when it’s acting up. We have had technicians come to try and fix the noise which typically involves them defrosting the fan, but the problem continues to come back. It’s very disappointing for what is still a very new fridge.

I am really unhappy with this refrigerator. I tried to like it, but after three weeks, I regret the purchase. Problem 1 is that the Home Depot website lists it as 29" deep without the handle. It is actually 27" deep. Those two inches make a HUGE difference when it comes to space inside. It is extremely small. Our old refrigerator was 30" deep and was just fine for our family of four, but this one is much too small. Problem two is that it freezes everything in the refrigerator compartment. It is recommended that it be set at 37, which is where we started. After freezing our vegetables, I have slowly moved it up, and we are now set at 41 (which is not recommended for meats, etc.), and it is still freezing things. This is not just the spot by the fan, It has happened on every shelf, and it is too shallow for things not to sit at the back of the shelf. The good news is that it's beautiful since it's so small, but I'm so sad we made this purchase and have to live with it since it was a big chunk of money. P.S. I NEVER give bad reviews. :(

Last 2 GE Refrigerators have had freezer defrost issues! Now costs me about $600 to fix this latest 24.8 cf and will not again buy GE. Brother retired from there and nephew works for GE, Supported their products but no more!

Poor design regarding water dispenser. Button has to be held and only a glass can be filled. Freezer space limited and contents continually frosts contents. Looks like it needs defrosting after a few days. Best design reserved for stainless, not white refrigerators.

I love this refrigerator! A bit of trouble getting ice maker to work, but it’s beautiful and holds a ton! Even in our 5th wheel!

We were worried that it wasn’t big enough but it is great! Freezer is a little small but we have extra chest freezer!

Bought this in May of 2022, I have had it serviced 3 times because the refrigerator part would freeze my food (eggs, milk, veggies/fruits, you name it). Well it is now June 2023, and the refrigerator part gave out. It went up to 70 degrees, and all my food spoiled. The freezer however has frost and is more frozen than needs to be w/ frost built up. This refrigerator is cute and all, but it has been a pain in the neck, it’s made me lose a bunch of money with spoiling and freezing food. Do not buy

Brand new installed in a new built home. Since day one there has been condensation and water dripping from inside the refrigerator. I am now up to 3 service tech visits. Three items have been replaced inside the unit. I am so disappointed in the performance quality. I have been a GE customer for decades. My dad retired from GE after 27 years. I expected much better than what I have experienced. They need to replace this frig. I think it’s a lemon

Have had this fridge for about two months now and I am really enjoying it. This replaced a top freezer 20 cu ft fridge purchased in 1996. I love the lights, especially the light in the freezer, and the filtered water going to the ice maker and the dispenser. Ice is so much easier to reach in this one, and I love the smaller doors. It is working great on maintaining temps in both refrigerator and freezer section. I love the color, too. My only con is that it is a little loud when it is running. I am so pleased with the color and the quality that I am thinking about getting this color in range and microwave when they need replacing.

The height dimensions listed in the write-up on the refrigerator are misleading. They are correct for both the door height and the main body of the unit. However, it is not disclosed that the door height includes electronics under large plastic covers that extend around 6 inches or more over the top of the main body. This made it impossible to push the unit back all the way to the wall. We were forced to trim the bottom edge of our cabinet to make it fit. It was a big dusty project, but it turned out okay. Other than that, the unit is beautiful, and the counter-depth profile makes the kitchen look and feel bigger.

Looks really nice. Lots of room in the frig part. Like the double doors. Doors have lots of storage space. Still getting use to freezer on bottom. Not much room in freezer.

We had a GE that was my parents for about 20 years and we took it over about a year ago and we’ve had nothing wrong with it so far kept it very clean always have taken care of it. Recently been looking at new fridges and prices, and trying to see what else we’d like to get, And we settled with another GE just because of how much we’ve loved it so far. Got it in today and it’s worked so well and we’ve had no problems with it so far. It looks absolutely stunning in our kitchen and I wouldn’t change my decision for the better!

Love the look and style of the Cafe series appliances! The white refrigerator looks great with its bronze handles and has ample amount of space inside. The freezer is perfect for my husband and me and I love the ice maker.

My kitchen is small and white is the perfect appliance color for it, but finding a white, counter depth 33 inch refrigerator isn't easy. This GE French door fit the bill and was worth the wait. Not one problem with it so far... what a relief! I love our new refrigerator and hope it lasts for years to come.

I love this Refrigerator I love how it looks. It made ICE right out of the gate and it’s easy to access everything inside.
