I like these addin lights mainly for their ease of installation. The quality is just average but the inclusion of a wiring box makes these very easy to install. You have to pay attention, especially if ordering online, as these look identical to the wide-angle version, so make sure you get what you want. I tried a triac dimmer on these and they dimmed well. At a 60 watt equivalent they are bright enough, but not too bright. If you are looking for something equivalent to 100 watt, you better look for a different fixture. A decent high efficiency light fixture.

Poorly designed tension clamps. The light is too heavy for them and they sag down past the recess holes. Also, some flickering when dimmed. Only kept them because I couldn’t find any other 5” potlight.

They look nice and have lots of light but they don’t fasten into the ceiling well. I will have to glue them into place. The manufacturer needs to come up with a better way to hold the light in then the two spring clips.

I got these integrated LED white recessed lighting fixtures to replace some very old "pot" lights in my kitchen. Wow - what a difference. Since I was replacing existing lights, the installation was easy. The light is bright and crisp and projects at about a 45 degree angle. They look amazing and since the led is integrated, I don't ever have to worry about replacing bulbs. They are dimmable and damp rated, which is good for a kitchen. I am planning to install additional lights throughout the house. Some will be replacements, but others will be new construction.

These LEDs that you attach to the drywall in a hole you cut are popular right now. This one is OK. As far a light output and color, it seems to be what it claims. About the same a a 60 watt incandescent. The only thing I was disappointed in was the junction box. It is pretty small (which is unfortunately typical). Hopefully you are only installing one or two 14 AWG romexes, not 12 AWG. Most fixtures now come with the push-in connectors which make installation easier, these just had small wire nuts.

I am very pleased with the new retrofit recessed lights we just installed. It is better than the other type that had wires that made it go in the ceiling. The electrical hook-up is nice and clean. Notice that the size is 5 inches, but the trim is 6 inches, so that it overlaps the previous trim, so not mush touch painting is needed. Another great feature is 3000K, we like the brightness of the Daylight color. Notice in the pictures the amazing color difference. The LED is also a big money saver, the old lights were like heat lamps, made the A/C work harder sucking the electric. The LED uses a much smaller amount. You can leave it on all day and uses a miniscule amount of power, and will last for years.
