Easy swap out, looks great, saves money on energy

Easy to install and a solid led conversion. My only complaint is they were not as bright as expected. I don’t have a lumen reader but with the ceiling elevation number on the box and the lumens it’s rated I expected and hoped for more. So if your on the bubble with this one (concerned it’s too bright) and have high ceilings get it, it won’t be.

This purchase was to replace one of four fixtures purchased less than one year ago that failed. Like the adjustable color temperature and easy retrofit installation.

These are for 5 and 6in can lights...hence they are sloppy on 6in cans. So if there is any gap around the can ,it may show. Other then that I really like them and the color tones that are available. Makes it easier for dealing with customers and picking the right amount of light.

The adjustable light frequency is great. These however are difficult to install in 5” cans. First you must remember to slide the spring holders to the 5”position which takes a Phillips screw driver. Easy to do. The problem is that the diameter of a 5” can puts inward pressure the wire spring connectors, so much so that when you go to connect them to the can, they disconnect from the lights themselves an often shoot across the room. On my fifth install, I took and pre-bent the spring to make it more flexible which worked better. I’d recommend some suggestions to help anyone trying to put these in 5” cans to reduce installation frustration.

Was a replacement for one that stopped working of anothe rbrand.

Very bright, as advertised at 1200 lumens. Replacing the old fixtures using the Edison base adapter in 5" canisters was very simple. Dimming has a very smooth response.

Two of the many LED lights our flipper installed in the basement went out. Tried to match. These are close (I prefer them over the rest—not as harsh), but overall I don’t care for this style. I’d rather change a bulb than an entire $25 fixture.

I've installed a number of these in my home, as well as a number of the cheaper Commercial Electric look-alikes, and these Halo fixtures are a better value. Any retrofit LED fixtures with wire-spring holders are harder to install and often slip down from the ceiling after a few months; these Halos include blade-spring holders that are easier to install and grip the inside of the recessed can more firmly. (If you prefer the wire springs, the Halos include those as well.) The Halos also come with a foam ring that fits between the fixture and the ceiling to give a more flush, better-looking installation. And when I removed my old fixtures I was surprised to find a rush of cold air coming from within the ceiling on the first floor of my two-story home; so the foam ring probably adds some insulating properties as well. Yes, they cost a few bucks more, but worth it for a better-looking, more reliable installation.

I have replaced all 14 can lights in my house with these and they are great. I wanted to be able to choose the softened light, and am very happy with these. And they work great on dimmers!
