Make no mistake, this cabinet will not support the sink that it says it's intended for. Most farmhouse apron-fronted sinks are made of fire clay or enamel cast iron, so are very heavy. This cabinet is made of particle board or composite as they call it, put together with staples and glue and will not support a farmhouse sink so you will have to structurally fortify the inside with 2x4s. Also, because it's made of particle board, the door hinge screws strip out easily. Mine arrived with a door hanging because of stripped screws. I ordered this cabinet in white thinking it was a primer but it is not, it's cheap vinyl facing over particle board and you cannot paint it. So for the exorbitant price of a sink cabinet that you have to completely rebuild and reface with paintable wood, not to mention that they don't even include the kick facing, you may as well buy the materials and build it yourself because it will be much sturdier and of a much better quality. Or have your local 7th grade shop class build one for you because they'll do a much better job. Dear Hampton rep, don't even bother responding with your patronizing we're so sorry you're unsatisfied. You should just build a better cabinet and stop trying to pass this off as furniture quality when it's junk. I would have returned it but I would have had to drive almost 4 hours round trip.

The Farmhouse Apron Sink pictured is intended to support roughly 600 without additional bracing. Farmhouse sinks can vary in size and support needs, though, and the manufacturer’s installation recommendations should note those requirements. The cabinet was not reinforced had to make extra cuts for sink to fit ,shouldn't have to pay extra for a cabinet that you have to modify what it was made for.

I purchased this cabinet because it was for farmhouse sinks. I pretty much had to rebuild the cab...
I purchased this cabinet because it was for farmhouse sinks. I pretty much had to rebuild the cabinet as well as add my own wood bracing , before I could set the sink in it. A farmhouse sink cabinet should be made where you can just set the sink right in it, not have to rebuild the front. I was very disappointed.

While this sink base should be a great match for most farmhouse sinks, with no additional bracing needed, we know that there is a large variety of sink types and sizes on the market. With that in mind, our cabinet offers a cut-out dimension because some sinks may require more space, while others can fit right in with no modification needed. For this cabinet, the cut-out dimensions extend to a width of 29-33" and a height of 7.5-11" and the specifications for a sink basin should also note the corresponding cut-out needed to ensure a great fit. Actually for the money, it was assembled pretty poorly. We decided to pay an additional $50 and purchase a high quality base cab from a reputable cabinet maker and not a ceiling fan maker.
