I give the finished product on my wall five stars, but one star for the large amount of extra effort that was necessary to get them up (thus the three-star rating). The bulk of that effort comprised multiples trips to Home Depot to find shelves that were not damaged in the package. I bought a total of 10 shelves of varying sizes, and only one was flawless. Three had minor scratches that I was easily able to fix with a stain stick, and the other six had to be returned-and some of those returned again-to find undamaged or only minorly damaged shelves. The other issue, as many others also reported, is that the anchors that come with the shelves are useless. If you use them, your shelves will sag without question. A Home Depot customer service rep recommended EZ Anchors in response to another person's review, so I picked those up. A small investment to make sure that the shelves stay up. I installed two 36 inch shelves using the ez anchors in a spot where there was no stud and it is very sturdy. One holds a DVD player in the small statue, the other a couple of decorative bowls. I installed two 42 inch shelves, also in a spot where there was no stud to match the holes in the bracket, And again, very sturdy. There are seven holes in the bracket but only six screws that come with the shelf, so make sure to get an additional screw and makes use of that seventh hole. I also installed 24 inch shelves that, fortunately, had bracket holes that matched up with studs where I wanted them, so I was able to use a combination of easy anchors and a stud, and on each of those I have 10 pounds of weight no problem. Other shelves going up today. For me the final look is worth all the effort, and this particular product is definitely better than any of the other floating shelves out there.

Anchors are horrible. Use your own. Doesn’t come with set screws. Instructions are written by a toddler. Zero room for error.

Bought 2 had to return and repurchase a new one because edges were a litttrough and not refinished well. Kept the other one even though it had a light 3 inch scratch on top surface. My wife put light straw baskets on the shelves in our laundry room. Easy to install though and they do look very nice. Very light weight material but inexpensive. Would not use these in the kitchen for decorative dishes etc.

Looks great. I had to find a way to keep it from sagging down in front, in order to hold items of any weight. Not particular heavy items.

Was easy to put up with included template. I purchased 2. Very nice finish to the slats backdrop!

The shelves are cheaply made. The toggle bolts used to mount this shelf is not deep enough, and plastic. The shelf itself is hollow, therefore when the metal poles are slid on the shelf for ‘support’, they cause the shelf to not be level, slanting downward. Tried various ways to level the shelf, impossible. Going in the trash.

Easy to install. Sturdy and attractive. Adds a touch of essence to my home office environment. Useful and sturdy.

Cannot support any weight really above a couple of pounds.

The hidden bracket needs to be stronger. Also, the method of attaching the shelf to the bracket needs to be more secure. To much play in the attachment.

The brackets were wobbly and the shelf tilted. Only the lightest weight objects could be placed on the shelf. I would not buy this item again.

Screws missing, instructions insufficient, all materials cheap (that much at least was to be expected) but so cheap that one of the dry wall anchors were broken before I even opened it. Unfortunately I'm an amatuer so I drilled the holes before I realized one was broken and screws were missing. Also, the instructions are insufficient. Don't buy this garbage.

Exactly what I wanted. Easy to install and very sturdy.

These shelves are beautiful. Only concern is they have to be mounted where the studs are. And to do that may make it so that your shelf is not exactly centered where you want it to be. So take some time to figure out where your studs are first before purchasing. But beyond that, they are absolutely gorgeous.

I don't typically write reviews but don't buy this product. The wall anchors don't hold, the shelf won't sit flush to the wall, the wood inside the shelf that the screws are supposed to bite into to hold the shelf to the posts are misaligned so they won't tighten, and the shelf won't sit level from front to back. It take 6 large anchors for the bracket, so once you decide it's worthless, you have 6 huge holes in your wall. I was trying to just putting a few drinking glasses on the shelf.
