When I received my item upon opening the box, I see a corner damaged. It’s like pushed in as if it was dropped. The packing looked good, but it was damaged. I’m having a hard time finding out who to talk to since it’s heavy and I can’t even get it back to a store, if someone can, please call me my information is on my account. I have a card with Home Depot someone please call me.

I was looking for a second desk for our office and opted for the Home Decorators Blackford Patina Finish Wood 5 drawer writing desk. The desk in made of a combination of wood, plywood and MDF materials, making the desk a bit heavy but sturdy. The installation of the legs was easy once I got the drawers out as the drawer removal pins were a bit difficult to move to the desired position. The legs bolt on from the inside, thus the need to remove the drawers, and make the unit extremely sturdy. The two bottom drawers are not deep enough for standard files but certainly deep enough for most office supplies. The center drawer has a set of clips that allow the front to drop down for a keyboard, should you want to use it as a computer desk. Though the space is a bit tight within the center space it will accommodate a full size keyboard and mouse. I am impressed with the construction and thought put into making the desk sturdy, attractive, and useful.

This is a BIG full size writing or office desk. Made of real wood, mostly assembled for you. You will need to attach the two leg assemblies of each end. This can be done with one person but two is recommended. The desk weighs every bit of it's approximately 150lbs. All the hardware you'll need, a wrench and an anti-tip strap is included. It has five drawers, a wide shallow center drawer with a front that folds down so you can use it with a keyboard. Two drawers on each side, one shallow on top one deep on bottom. The ball bearing drawer slides are smooth and easy, and each drawer pushes shut with a light bump closure and will not fall or slide open on it's own. The door handles are all matching metal, half rounds. It's very attractive and has a mid century modern look to it. It looks vintage and retro. Pretty cool. All wood top, real wood, you can see the grain and the varnish is very very smooth. I would think this desk would easily last a couple decades or more with regular use. A perfect accent to a home office. I'd recommend it.

I left a review when i received the desk but no one has contacted me

I would absolutely never recommend this after everything that went wrong from start to finish from shipping, receiving, to customer service. This desk was very obviously damaged during manufacturing as an entire piece of the corner was gone and it not inside the box. There was also damage on the backside and the bottom that also had nothing to do with shipping. The desk itself is beautiful and comes across less yellow than the photos and made well if it were not entirely damaged.

We have been trying to get another drawer glide. The ball bearings fell out. We SHOULD be able to. Just opened it this week. I called, spoke w/a woman and told her. The response was a PDF attachment of the MANUAL! We need a new drawer glide. Right side drawers, bottom double drawer, the glide on the left side towards where a chair would go. A Manual ???? Customer Service is not good.

I would have given this desk 5 stars except for the file drawer. The file drawer isn't deep enough to hold a regular file folder. Other than that, it is a very nice desk. I searched a while for a desk and decide this was the desk. Nice and heavy, easy to put together. I bought 2 of them I liked it that much.

Beautiful desk. Large and functional with four drawers plus a pull-out drawer that acts as a keyboard tray. Love it! It's actual wood not some orefab junk and is attractive enough that I can use it anywhere in my home as something other than a desk.

This is a beautiful desk. The finish is magnificent. It was so easy to assemble, which was minimal. It came very well packaged, protected. It is a gorgeous addition to my light antique maple wood bedroom set. I put a big fold out vanity mirror I bought on it and use it as a vanity. The drawers hold lots of stuff. It is a very solid piece of furniture. I love it.

Fairly heavy, but easy to put together. The unit comes in five pieces, the main desk and the four legs. That makes it easy to assemble, but I would suggest two people the help unpack the box and when you need to turn the main piece on it's side.
