This Home Decorators wall sconce model # 7950HDC was ordered to replace what was originally an out door light, but once we built the mud room we decided to keep a light there and add an indoor type light sconce. I like that this sconce can be installed either up or down (according to the box). It takes a standard bulb so you could replace the incandescent bulb with a brighter LED. It says the max wattage bulb is 60 watts. I took a pic to show how the glass shade attaches, once it's in place you don't have to move it to replace the bulb as the ring holds the glass shade in place. See the pic below for the dimensions of the light. The back plate is quite large and it covered up the different paint colors from behind the old light, which was great! The well done instructions are in English & Spanish and there are drawings to help you follow the simple installation, just make sure you turn off the power at the breaker not just the wall switch. The unit was well packed in a totally surrounded styrofoam package. This is not a high end light but has the look of one and fits our needs very well. Incredibly poor quality. Sconce arm was welded on crooked-not even close. Very thin metal. Do not recommend.

The Home Decorators Collection 1-Light Brushed Nickel Wall Sconce with Clear Seeded Glass Shade arrived packaged well completely surrounded in foam. All parts necessary to install were included with the fixture. The fixture takes a standard bulb that can be replaced to suit your individual needs (e.g. LED or other). The clear seeded glass shade adds some character to the somewhat simple design. This is a decent fixture for the price - if it looks like it will match your decor it is a good purchase.

This is one good looking product! It has a beautiful brushed nickel finish, which compliments any wall color. Always remember to turn off power to the circuit you will be working on. Any DIYer can install this fixture in under twenty minutes. I installed this fixture under my carport using the upside down application. Fitted with the ecosmart 65-watt equivalent daylight bulb the shade sparkles! This product has a large 4-3/4 in. W x 9-3/4 in. H back plate, which conveniently hides old fixture markings. I like this product some much, I have two!!

Item arrived in a very timely manor. It is a very straight forward install. As I always do I had my wife do most of the work so that she doesn't have to over pay someone to install this. Frosted glass is really nice and all painted surfaces seem to be fully painted. Took about forty five minutes to do install from beginning to end. I only gave it a four because of the packaging.

bulbs are dimmer than i like, will be buying brighter ones, but besides that they look great in our master bath!

It’s easy to find light fixtures that are inexpensive however it’s not easy not find light fixtures that are reasonable and great quality. I ordered this sconce and love it. I also have to mention an amazing customer service no disappointment here.
