Sooo quiet. Moves air very efficiently.

Perfect for our needs in look and size for a small guest room

I purchased the Hunter Low Profile 42 in. Indoor Snow White Ceiling Fan to replace an older model of a Hunter ceiling fan of similar size that had gotten "noisy". On the plus side, this new fan is 'whisper quiet' - no perceivable noise from this one. The new fan is a 5 blade model. The old fan had 4 blades. The lowest speed on the new fan is slightly slower than the old which is more comfortable by less force of the moving air and since it is not as visually noticeable . No blade balancing was necessary. Most impressive was that the fan ran true on all speed settings. On the minus side, I was not able to use the older, existing mount with the new housing. There were a couple of new features added to the new mount and housing that would not allow the new and old parts to be interchanged. Not a big deal since both of these new parts are included and easily installed. I only mention it since I initially was going to do a motor and blades swap, then had to go back, remove those and install new mount, etc. This is a good quality ceiling fan for the price. The original Hunter ceiling fan lasted for over 20 years operating at 24 x 7 on the low speed setting, but just got a bit annoying with the 'bearing noise'.

Looks good, easy to install, price decent. Hope it lasts forever.

Fans were an easy assembly and installation. Out of three fans, one does have a "hum" sound.

The fan is completely silent when turned on at any of the three speeds. I don't think there is another fan that can claim that.
