According to google statistics, the average life span of a garbage disposal is 10-12 years. We installed our unit in 2016 (8 years ago) and the unit is fried. We will need to replace it, I tried all the trouble shooting techniques and the motor even turn. The metal dust beneath it indicates to me that the internal motor material is worn out. They claim these units are high quality and long lasting but only 8 years of life is pitiful. I guess I'll have to buy a new one.

Motor wobbling after 8 months. It was silent originally, now sounds like a truck decelerating.

My first exposure to this product was at a friend's home. It sounded so powerful, and it was so quiet, that I knew that this was the Insinkerator for our home. It was just a matter of months after that that our disposal died. We purchased it and had our handyman install it, and we have been very happy with our choice. It works very well with our open floor plan.

We replaced our 15 year old ISE disposal that was still going strong as part of a remodel. This one is heads above the old one...super quiet and smooth running with no vibration. I had no idea that a disposal could be that smooth and efficient. I did expect it to come with a power cord, given the price

I bought this insinkerator to replace one that was 15 years old.i figured if it last as long as the original that I could not go wrong.very happy with purchase.

I have had a couple of months to use it, and find this Insinkerator to work very well. I had a different brand previously, and although it was the same horsepower (3/4), it struggled to grind some food scraps, whereas the Insinkerator has ground everything I've fed it more quickly and thoroughly. I like the batch feed, which is also different than my last one that worked by a sometimes-hard-to-find trigger within the drain. It is a lot quieter too. We did have a plumber install it, as it required a different pipe than our last one, but I feel it would have been easy enough to do otherwise. A word of caution though: Read the instructions thoroughly, and don't miss the step about popping out the plug for the dishwasher drain, if you have a dishwasher. Our plumber hadn't installed one before, and phoned us after installation to tell us not to use our dishwasher. With that plug in place it could have been a disaster, as the water would have had no place to drain. Luckily I don't run my dishwasher every day, and hadn't done so. The plumber returned to reinstall the unit, minus the drain plug for the dishwasher.

Finally, I have a very efficient and very well designed disposal that makes me feel confident that what I am disposing of is really going to be GONE! Hurray! One of the best appliance investments I have ever made! Not cheap in my budget, but at least you get your money's worth! Now I know that when I dispose of something it will be GONE! Easy to install and it runs so quiet you can barely hear it.

This is not our first Evolution Excel. We had one in our previous home, and when choosing what to install in our new home, it was an easy choice. The innovative keyed install ring made installation a breeze. Super quiet, very powerful,and does what it is supposed to do extremely well. It's not the least expensive food waste disposer, but if you want one that is always there for you, this is the one!

My wife did the installation . She found it easy to do. We were very pleasantly surprised at how quiet the disposal was. We are very satisfied.

This is the quietest appliance we have in our house. Before, I would never use the disposal when naps were going on. But now I can use it whenever I need. Even in the same room it can barely be heard. And it gets rid of so much.

This the quietest disposal I've ever heard. The installation was simple and easy. I had one problem- somehow a small ball bearing had gotten into the disposal - but the customer service rep was able to troubleshoot with me over the phone and we found it. No problems since then.

My only issue is that the screw hold blade came loose.

This thing chews up 2x4s! It’s great. The only thing I don’t like is the rubber gasket doesn’t let stuff drain into the disposal easily. I need to poke stuff to get it to go down. Minor issue. The motor rocks!

This is the quietest disposal we have ever had , from turkey bones to potato peals this unit handles them all with quiet ease .

Works well and so quiet can hardly tell when running

This purchase replaces the same model that we installed ten (10) years ago -- very few available online, happy to find one available. With the same model, we felt that installation would be a snap, but the process took longer than expected (not entirely sure why). Should be good for another ten (10) years, maybe even longer.

I did a bunch of online research and figured I’d go with the best with the expectation of enjoying many years of problem free craftsmanship and performance. So far so good. This thing is amazing compared to the old insinkerator I replaced. I still cannot believe how quiet and an how quickly it works. Very pleased with my purchase.

Extremely quiet. I can hardly hear it running. Very efficient. Grinds up everything in a few seconds.

I had the disposal installed by my plumber. So, I really can't comment on ease of installation. The survey forced me to evaluate ease of installation. The disposal works well and is very quiet. I am pleased with my purchase.

I picked the unit because it was an exact replacement and would have no problems with installation.

We had to replace our insinkerator recently as due to it being over 20 years old, it was time. Because of the long lasting quality of Insinkerator, we of course chose them again. Great product!

Bought InSinkErator PRO750-4 warrantied for 1-year. Made loud noises after 6 months. They refused to honor the warranty, made the contractor jump through hoops, requested pictures and videos, sent him back to verify installation, then asked me to contact them directly to go back through the same hoops. Told me they would send someone over but threatened that if they deemed it functional, they would charge a service call. They hope that you give up after they wear you down. Terrible outfit.
