Cracked
I bought this tub November 2017 for my spare bathroom. It has been used maybe 10 times in the past 5 years. I just notice there are hairline cracks all around the drain. Very disappointed in this product

    I do not recommend - cracked!
    Cracked after only 4 years of light use by a person weighing only 130lbs. Do not buy this tub! Bought bathtub 4 years ago for a bathroom remodel. We bought this because it was Kohler brand and thought it would last but it did not. It feels thin & flimsy. It was installed by a licensed professional. It’s going to be costly to replace. We are completely disappointed and dissatisfied with this brand.

      Cracked!
      I remodeled my bathroom in May 2017. I was so in love with this tub! Until it cracked last week, in 2 spots! So disappointing. Thought I was buying a good brand.

        Cracked in less than 3 years
        But for our new Remodel summer 2018 and it just cracked and is leaking. Thousands to re-do.

          Mine cracked too! Same as all the others
          Redid the bathroom 3 years ago and this tub crunch crunch crunch cracked. Ruined the down stairs ceiling. Had to tear out all the tile to replace it. $$$ very unhappy.

            Stress fractures
            I’ve had this tub 3 years and already it has 2 stress fractures - 1 by the drain and the other on the side of the tub. I purchased a kohler product because I always heard of their good quality. Boy, was I wrong. I spent thousands on a full tile shower to the ceiling. Looks like I’ll have to spend that much more again. I have never been so angry! Why does stuff not last anymore!? I do not recommend this product - I do jot recommend this brand! They need to make this right. I don’t want just a new tub, I want the thousands in labor and material it will cost to fix my bathroom!

              Had a crack in ~18 months
              We installed this in June 2019 when entire bathroomwas remodeled & it developed a crack in dec 2020. Its disappointing to say the least & will cost a fortune.

                Also cracked!
                Like the previous reviewers, mine has also cracked so have to have it pulled out to install another tub. Which entails tearing out tile and part of the wall so it can be lifted out. I chose Kohler for the quality, never would have expected this to happen. Unfortunately will cost thousands and a mess to correct the situation

                  Don’t waste your money! Unsafe for children!
                  Terrible tub! We bought this less than five months ago for our bathroom. Our ten year old daughter was taking a bath and her knee went through the tub wall. Her leg is cut open in three places and the tub is now cracked and unusable. I just paid to have my whole bathroom redone and now can’t even use it.

                    Tub is 4 years old and has 4 inch crack. Do not buy unless you want to redo your bathroom again in 4 years.

                      Disappointed
                      I purchased this tub in November of 2018. I loved the size and depth of it. Summer 2020 I notice a small crack which at first looked like a scratch. Well the crack quickly grew to two small sections on the tub. I had to place plumbers tape on the cracks to keep the tub from leaking in the ceiling below it. I lifted up the tape to expose a section of the crack for this review.

                        Don’t waste your money!
                        When I purchased my home, the bathroom was dreadful. After a total rehab, the bathroom was beautiful! Fast forward 3 to years, everything is perfect except for this bathtub. A giant 6 inch crack in the bottom, and the floor is so spongy it feels like we are going to fall through the floor!!!! Now I have to tear out the tile in the shower, and most likely replace the subfloor, to replace the tub.... please don’t waste a penny on this.

                          Terrible
                          We had our bathroom done 3 years ago and within 6 months it started getting cracks. I was just sitting down to look at new tubs and can see this is obviously a problem with this tub. Since we had someone else do the work I don’t have the purchase information and that guy was no help. Looks like I’m just buying a new tub. Please don’t waste your money.

                            DO NOT BUY
                            I am livid!!! I bought this product a year ago and now has 4 different cracks! Now I have water leak, I have to redo my entire bathroom all over again after I already spend thousands to remodel it the first time. Now I have to spend thousands all over again to fix it! Save your money! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BATHTUB!!

                              Cracked Tub within a year and half
                              I had remodeled my bathroom about a year and half ago and recently I discovered that it had a crack in it while I was cleaning the tub. My old bath tub was good for 19 years and not one crack in it. I now have to get my bathroom remodeled again and as we all know it costs a lot of money!

                                  Stay Away from this Product, one of the worst from Kohler
                                  Just over a year into remodelling my bathroom, I now have to redo the bath tub and the damage it has caused to my basement. The tub is fragile and cracks easily. Saves yourself thousand of dollars in repairs and look for a better product.

                                    Ultra flimsy - cracks easily
                                    We installed this into our home less than a year ago, along with a ceramic tiled half wall, shower, and floor...it looked great at first, although it's super flimsy and appears cheap, however, it was not cheap...we have a 3" crack inside the tub leaving a mess in our basement!! .....Would NOT recommend this to anyone!! Going to be quite a project $$ to fix this mess. NOT HAPPY!

                                      Bad choice
                                      This tub has only been installed less than a year and has multiple cracks in the surface of the tub. It’s to the point where it is now leaking down into my basement. This was a waste of money because now I have to buy another tub and pay for it to be reinstalled.

                                          Waste of Money
                                          Remodeled kids bathroom and used this tub to create the centerpiece for it. Lasted about 12 months. As other reviewers have stated, tub is poorly made. Small cracked developed around drain plug and stater leaking. Bathroom is on 2nd floor, so didn't discover leak until water started pouring through the ceiling downstairs. Now have to tear out tub and all the new tile and remodel it all over again. Awesome!

                                            extremely disappointed
                                            I bought this bathtub a little over two years ago and had it installed in early May 2018 in my teenagers' bathroom. They currently weigh 100lbs (my daughter) and 135lbs (my son). I just discovered a large crack, more than six inches long, all the way through the bottom of the tub extending from the drain out towards the opposite end of the tub. My kids have no idea how it got there, but we have no glass or metal bottles or containers in that bathroom, only plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles. I can't believe that it has a large crack so soon after I put it in there. I can only imagine how expensive it will be to hire another contractor to replace the tub here in NYC. I guess that's what I get for going cheap on the bathtub itself. Huge mistake.

                                              Tub crack ... highly disappointed/upset
                                              I bought this tub for clients to install in their bathroom... just to find out it is junk and now is cracked on the interior back wall of the tub.. this is highly disappointed in being a contractor that takes great pride in his work to just find out a crappy product is out there on the market and causing so much damage and destruction for your customers and your reputation.... highly disappointed in this product.. only way to fix this issue for a family with little kids that use their shower nonstop is to now inconvenience them once again without having a shower or a bathroom and rip out and replace this tub with a better product.... to replace this tub is not an easy task... tile has to be demolished in shower surround in order to replace the tub and whatever else needs demoed in the process to get the tub out and a new one back in.... this needs resolved as soon as possible...

                                                I purchased this tub for a major remodeling of the house around Nov 2016. Back then, we didn't have so many reviews of the cracks and all the problems so the reviews were fairly "average" for this tub. I also purchased in store without reading reviews first (but again there weren't many at the time) and I did like the shape of this tub so I bought it. Instant regret after installation. Every single time while taking a shower, it was like walking on egg shells, I was afraid to move around too much because it would creak and make noises. I saw some reviews of cracks around the drain so I made sure to never step near the drain. I read these acrylic tubs can't be cleaned with "harsh" chemicals so I used the more mild cleansers to clean. Basically, the only thing "cool thing" about this tub is the high height and peanut shape. It was a constant nightmare and yes I remember having nightmares about the tub cracking and have had anxiety every time while stepping in this tub for the past 2 years minimum. So it took around 2 years for me to get used to the squeaking, creaking and cracking noises while showering and for me to be more comfortable in my own bathroom. The noise became a part of my showering experience, I began to worry less and just showered as normal. Tonight, 01/09/2020 3AM PST my worst possible fear became reality. My tub developed a crack on the bottom middle on the side towards the wall right around where the tub curves. Kohler, according to wikipedia has over 100 years of history and has become a family name. This Tub will be your undoing. Make right by everyone that has had a problem because of your faulty product or someone eventually will file a class action suit and the line is already wrapped around the building to sign up.

                                                  Same problem to start my year 2020. Crack caused leakage in to my downstairs ceiling. Had to redo my entire bathroom and fix my downstairs ceiling.

                                                    Don't buy this bathub. Home Depot should not sell it.
                                                    We installed this tub less than a year ago. Months ago I noticed small lines in the bottom of the tub and thought they were just surface scratches. Then a few weeks ago I felt something under my foot in the bath and realized the scratch was actually a crack. Thankfully there is no water damage yet. It is going to cost of thousands of dollars to remove and replace this. I expected more from the Kohler and Home Depot names.

                                                      This tub is junk and when it cracks because it will crack, you will have to spend thousands of dollars replacing it

                                                        submerse 5’ right hand bathtub
                                                        I am very disappointed in this product. I have multiple cracks after only 1 1/2yrs after installation. Just recently a hole has formed from one of the cracks. I would not recommend anyone to buy this tub.
