Very easy install workflow. Pretty awesome toilet. My one complaint is there is no way to know for sure the toilet is properly seated on the rubber drain throat. Not sure how to solve for this, but I trust the product engineers can work out a solution. The good news is, no leaks! So I’m assuming I seated the toilet properly.

Love the sleek look and easy cleaning but it is a bit noisier than our last toilet.
The contractor did have a bit of a struggle installing it, not much room to work with the way it has to be installed. Was missing the bolt caps but Kohler is sending me some.

The Kohler toilet was easy to install ONCE we relocated...
The Kohler toilet was easy to install ONCE we relocated the water supply location. The Kohler Valiant toilet vase is a lot wider than normal toilets. The plumbing had to be relocated about 9” further away in order to place the toilet and allow connection of the water supply to the toilet. Aside from that, all is good.

There are easier toilets to install
I bought this a week ago after reading mostly good reviews. The toilet is fine once it's installed. The first problem was we ordered it online, and although you're told it will be delivered to the nearest dry location the 120-pound toilet was left on the walkway in the rain. The other problem is that Kohler didn't supply proper bolts to attach the thing to the base. As well, the bowl was filthy for some reason. When you buy a new fixture you expect it to be gleaming new. It took about 2.5 hours to install because of the parts issue. Not impressed.

Next generation flushing. We replaced our old low flow toilets with these and the flushing action is unbelievably clean. Also like the sleek and easy to clean outer design. Pretty easy to install too.

After much research, I bought two of these toilets. We are very happy with them. With the flat sides, they are very easy to clean. The flush is very quick, quiet, and complete. We would definitely recommend these toilets.

ReadyLock system is frustrating!
Bought this to upgrade a half bath. I figured the hardest part would be fixing a flange that was too high after the new flooring was installed. Turns out that was the easy part. I got the toilet set, but after multiple attempts and YT videos, I could not get the ReadyLock bolts to fully tighten. There was about a 1/2" of wiggle either way after the bolts reached the ends of the threads. I called Kohler to see if the wrong bolts were included, but they were the right kind (only one kind for all ReadyLock). She said I had to have the bolts at a high angle. I tried one more time--same result--so I returned to HD today and got a bolt-down toilet. It is frustrating that I wasted an entire day on what should have been simple.

I like the Valiant and it's 1.28 GPF Single-Flush and the swirl flushing technology keeps your bowl cleaner longer than a conventional flush. The wax ring that came with my toilet was too small to get a seal. I had water all over the floor. I had to to pull the toilet buy a larger ring and used both rings to get a good seal.

Comes with an adapter not a true 14 in rough in which makes the hole to the drain half the size. This makes for easy clogging. Like third poop taken easy clogging. Terrible toilet. Waste of money.

Hi Damian, this is Sarah with Kohler Customer Service. I am sorry to hear your Valiant toilet is clogging. This is nothing you should expect during normal use. A traditional toilet has a 2-1/8" trapway until it gets to the waste pipe. This skirt trap attachment system does not reduce the diameter lower than 2-1/8". We recommend checking a few things to ensure the tank is set up to provide adequate flushing power. The chain connecting to the trip lever should be taut. If there is any slack, it should be tightened to remove the slack. The water level can also be checked. The water level in the tank should be at the water line which is marked on the inside back wall of the tank or on the flush valve. The refill tube can be checked as well. It should be connected at both ends connecting the fill valve to the center of the canister valve. If either end is disconnected, it should be pushed back into place. Best 14 inch rough in toilet!
I have a 14 in rough in, after calling Kohler, confirmed the 12 in RI Valiant toilet is used with the 14 in adapter. Note, it is cheaper to by them separately. Anyway its pretty cool, the adapter moves the whole toilet back 2 inches so the toilet sits closer to the wall. The instructions are not clear on how to do it, but a call to Kohler's installation help line cleared it up. You have to drill 2 more holes in the floor to make the adapter work. Other 14 in RI toilets ( the Kohler Highline) uses a wider tank, which just makes the toilet look huge and and the bowl sits the 2 inches further out in the room. I know this because i tried both toilets. Its a nice toilet, actually attractive for a toilet, it flushes well, I' m very pleased with it.

Toilet does NOT Flush Clean
The toilet is not clean when flushed. Skid marks are left in the bottom of the tank. Dissapointing because the main reason I bought this toilet was the Kolher's package said this toilet give its cleanest flush. Will probably returns if possible.

Design flaw but nice toilet
The 5/16 bolts that secure the toilet need to be corrected. See attachments. The right bolt fastened down properly but the left side does not have the correct thread count/length. @KOHLER, if you have a bolt to resolve this issue please provide part number or send me one. Other than trying to find a bolt to fix this and rigging something to temporarily secure the toilet, this is a great product. Toilet has a strong flush and looks good.

Kohler Valiant toilet
Very noisey and after several years we noticed that on the upper part of the skirt there was a HOLE that has been filled. The filler has setup but it is not smooth and is NOT the quality that we expected from KOHLER. Not happy having been sold a defective toilet! Kohler should replace this even though it's been four years. Didn't notice it because it is on the side next to our shower. Just NOT HAPPY with
this FLAW!

Kohler done messed up ….
First, this is a review on Kohler, not Home Depot. The folks at the Strongsville Home Depot were champs. The first problem was that the unique drain attachment assembly that is necessary for this skirted toilet to connect to your floor drain was completely missing, along with the wax ring. Those are supposed to be packed inside the toilet bowl so I suggest you open the box in store to verify all parts are there before you lug this 115lb toilet home. After I handled that with the excellent ladies in customer service at the Strongsville location, I finished installation. I then went to install the toilet seat and one of the bumpers was missing on the underside of the seat. This is just disappointing from Kohler because it was two separately packaged items that were missing necessary components. I lost a couple hours of my time, the project was delayed and I haves compromised seat for my backside I may think Delta or American standard next time.

Great toilet
I am a general contractor so I see quite a few toilets and this is a good one. Only has one flush option but the design of this system works great and does a great job of keeping the bowl clean. Install is very easy! Definitely recommend.

It's different, but I like it.
The toilet is definitely different, but I like it. It works well with its 360 degree water flow around the bowl instead of lots of holes. I like the styling with no bolts showing. The mechanism seems solid and works well. I thought it might be hard lift and set into place as it is heavy (and I am 78), but it wasn't any problem at all. Our floor flange is standard, and there was no problem installing it. It seems like it uses very little water compared to others and certainly the old toilets. It is also quieter. The flush mechanism works well. Time will tell its longevity. I was impressed with its flushing action as it seems to clear the bowl efficiently. I do like the slightly extra height. The toilet seat is plastic, nicely made, closes silently, and not flimsy like some. I do recommend watching their installation videos as they help make sense of things. One odd thing is that it uses two bolts inside which do not come with nuts. They come with plastic locks to hold the bolts in place. This isn't a defect, but don't worry about not having nuts to go on two bolts inside the toilet.
